Crimson Desert: Uninvited Guest Questline Walkthrough

Starting the Questline

Complete the last questline in Chapter 4: Forbidden Knowledge. This will start Chapter 5 with “Uninvited Guest” being the first questline.

Quest Description:
“Marquis Serkis announced the arrival of a Demenissian delegation and extended a banquet invitation to the Greymanes. This news poses a grave threat to Damiane, who is a Demenissian in hiding. However, she is currently nowhere to be found within the camp.”

#1 – Unwelcomed Guest

Actually, the first quest in the questline is “Double-Sided Invitation” but it will be automatically started and closed after returning to the camp at the end of chapter 4.

How to Tame a Horse

Return to the location of your first camp in front of Hernand Castle. This will cause a commotion with panicked gates in front of the gates.

Confusing In-Game Guides:

I tried to tame a wild horse before I encountered the Unwelcomed Guest quest. The guide there told me I would have to somehow follow the horse’s tail to fill the taming circle. I failed, since I didn’t understand what they meant.

In Unwelcomed Guest, they now say that you have to follow the head. It took a while to figure out what to do, so here it is, straightforward as if talking to a 5-year-old.

How to tame a horse in Crimson Desert:

1 – If you use a controller, only use the left thumbstick. Don’t correct your view with the right thumbstick. Then, run to the horse and ride it. This will start the horse taming minigame.

2 – Now you have to fill the round taming bar in the center. Here’s how (I used Kliff’s horse to illustrate it in the screenshot below).

3 – Move the thumbstick/Analog stick in the opposite direction of the horse’s head. If the horse looks to the left, move the stick to the right. If the horse is going down on the screen, move the stick up. If the head moves right, move the stick left; if the head moves up on the screen, move the stick down.

That’s why it is important not to correct your view and not move the right thumbstick. The rest is reaction, changing the thumbstick direction in response to the horse’s fast movements.

Once tamed, you can ride the horse to the stables and complete this quest.

#2 – Demenissian Delegation

Attend the Banquet

Go through the gates. Speak with Marquis Serkis at the first building to the left.

The Demenissian’s Gift is a massive monster called Kearush the Slayer, and of course, it will break out during the cutscene. Kearush has three health bars. After reducing the first, a cutscene will get you to the next and then to the third. Dodge his attacks and hit him a couple of times after, when he’s exhausted. Do this to defeat him.

#3 – Exposed Plot

Speak with Damiane

After the fight and the destruction of the banquet room, meet Damiana near the castle walls. Talking to her will complete the questline, and “Black and White” starts.

“The monster sent by the Demenissian grand general, Bastier, left the banquet in shambles. Ask Damiane for more information about this man.”
