Quest giver: Sergeant Yumi at the UC Security Office, New Atlantis Spaceport
Location: New Atlantis Spaceport and the MAST District, Jemison, Alpha Centauri
Starts from: The “Talk to Sergeant Yumi” activity, picked up from the recruitment poster outside the UC Security Office or by overhearing UC Security guards in the UC Vanguard HQ
Objectives: Speak to Agent Plato at MAST, retrieve the package from the dead drop at the Spaceport, deliver it to Sergeant Yumi
Rewards: XP and credits, with the credit payout scaling to your level
Prerequisites: One Small Step, which is what brings you to New Atlantis in the first place
Quest chain: The first of Sergeant Yumi’s UC Security jobs, and it leads into A Break at Dawn

Mission Start

Yumi does not hand this out on sight. You need the “Talk to Sergeant Yumi” activity first, and there are two ways to trigger it.

->Walk past the recruitment poster outside the UC Security Office. It sits on your right as you head from the Spaceport towards the NAT station.

-> Overhear the UC Security guards inside the UC Vanguard HQ talking about Yumi needing help.

Either one adds the activity to your log and marks the office for you.

The mission starts with Sergeant Yumi inside the United Colonies Security Office at the Spaceport District. He is behind the counter on the right. Tell him you are there about the job and he will run you through a short interview, then hire you on the spot.

Your answers during the interview do not change anything, so pick whatever fits your character. If you have made progress with the UC Vanguard, Yumi will treat you noticeably better throughout.

1 – Speak to Agent Plato

Mission Text:
“Due to staffing issues, Sergeant Yumi has asked me to work as a part-time Security Officer. For my first job, I need to talk to Agent Plato over at MAST.”

Take the NAT to the MAST District. At the MAST tram station, take the elevator up to Defense and Research / Health and Human Services / Aegis.

Head through the Aegis door and find Agent Plato in his office. He works covert operations for the United Colonies, and he explains that a dead drop near the Spaceport may have been compromised. Rather than send an Aegis agent and draw attention, he wants UC Security to collect the package.

He will not tell you what is inside. That part is classified.

2 – Retrieve the Package

Mission Text:
“Due to staffing issues, Sergeant Yumi has asked me to work as a part-time Security Officer. I was directed to Agent Plato at MAST, who asked me to pick up a package near the transit station.”

Take the NAT back to the Spaceport. When you step out, turn right and you will see the green GALBank sponsored waiting area with the ATM.

The package is not sitting on the bench, it is taped to the underside. Crouch down at the marked bench and interact with it to pick it up. You cannot open it, so do not waste time trying.

3 – Deliver the Package to Sergeant Yumi

Mission Text:
“Due to staffing issues, Sergeant Yumi has asked me to work as a part-time Security Officer. I was directed to Agent Plato at MAST, who asked me to pick up a package near the transit station. I located the package and can now deliver it to Sergeant Yumi.”

Walk back to the United Colonies Security Office and hand the package to Yumi. He forwards it on to Aegis himself, which completes the mission.
