Runaway Mission Overview

Mission type: Miscellaneous Mission, follow-up to the Red Tape questline in Cydonia
Quest giver: Rivkah Ovadia, a miner in Cydonia
Location: Cydonia on Mars and Hotel Volii in Neon, Volii Alpha
Prerequisite: Complete Red Tape Reclamation
Rewards: 100 XP and credits, but no credits if you give Rivkah up
Red Harvest Reserve: buy it for 15,000 credits, persuade Jack down to 600 credits, or steal Governor Hurst’s bottle
Quest chain: Red Tape Blues, then Red Tape Runaround, then Red Tape Reclamation, then Runaway

Natan’s door bug: if his door says inaccessible, take the elevator to the third floor before you talk to Minerva at the front desk and walk up to his door until your activity log updates. If that fails, load a save from before you entered Hotel Volii.

Persuading Natan gives Rivkah the best ending. Bring up the whiskey, her illness and his late wife, because those options always succeed.

Runaway Mission Start

To get the mission, you have to speak to Rivkah. She’s a miner, either working next to Trevor on the bottom level of Cydonia, or sleeping on her bunk in the Deimos Miner Quarters. Ask her about her cough to start the mission.

1 – Obtain Red Harvest Reserve Whiskey

Mission Text:
“Rivkah says that I can help smooth things over with her father, Natan, by bringing a peace offering: a bottle of rare Red Harvest Reserve Whiskey. A local bartender, Jack, may know where I can get some.”

Head up to the Cydonia Central Hub and there to the Broken Spear Bar to talk to barkeeper Jack. You have three ways to get the bottle:

Buy it: Jack wants 15,000 credits.
Persuade Jack: Pass the persuasion check and he sells it for 600 credits.
Steal it: Governor Hurst has a bottle in his office, but he watches it during working hours.

2 – Go to Hotel Volii

Mission Text:
“According to Rivkah, Natan should be staying at The Hotel Volii in Neon. I need to go there and try to find him.”

Fly to the Volii System and land on Neon. At Neon Core, enter the Hotel Volii and speak to the receptionist to find out Natan’s room.

The receptionist is Minerva Clement. Tell her you have a delivery for Natan. If his door says inaccessible, use the door bug tip in the overview.

3 – Speak with Natan

Mission Text:
“I’ve found Natan. Now, to speak with him and try to resolve this situation with Rivkah, one way or another.”

Take the elevator up to Natan’s room on the 3rd floor. Go right into the room and talk to him. You can react in four different ways:

Persuade: The best ending. Natan drops the charges and calls off his bounty hunters.
Attack: Natan dies, and Rivkah is not happy about it.
Tell him where she is: His bounty hunters capture Rivkah, and you get no credits.
Manipulate: You can also manipulate Natan.

If the persuasion fails and you do not give Rivkah up, you get arrested on your way out of the hotel. – I chose to persuade him.

4 – Return to Rivkah

Mission Text:
“I need to return to Rivkah in Cydonia and update her on what happened with her father.”

Return to Rivkah at Cydonia, Mars. She’s either working as a miner on ground floor or in the Deimos Miner Quarters. Talking to her will conclude this Mission.

If you told Natan where Rivkah is, she is gone. Talk to Trevor instead to finish the mission. You get 100 XP and credits, or only 100 XP if Rivkah was captured.
