How to Start the Mission

After handing in A New Narrative, Imogene at the Ryujin Industries HQ on Neon gives out the Access is Key Mission automatically.

1 – Get the Security Keycard

Mission Text:
“I need to travel to The Clinic orbiting Deepala in the Narion System to obtain a Security Keycard. If I want the Security Chief to speak to me, I should wear a suit or security uniform. I can buy a suit from Aito in the Ryujin Tower lobby.”

Suit Up (Optional)

Wearing a suit or Security Guard Uniform is optional, but it helps. You can buy one from Aito in the Ryujin Tower lobby, or from any other outfitter shop.

Find Your Target

The location and the Security Chief holding the keycard are randomized per playthrough. This walkthrough follows the version of the mission that sends you to The Clinic, orbiting Deepala in the Narion System, northwest of Neon on the star map. Other players have reported being sent to Gagarin’s Landing in the Alpha Centauri system, or to Hopetown on Polvo, instead. Whatever location the mission marker points to, the steps below are the same, so follow the actual marker rather than assuming it matches this walkthrough.

Dock at the location, and if you’re wearing a suit or uniform, remember to equip it from the inventory first. Follow the mission marker to the Security Chief.

Choose How to Get the Keycard

There are three ways to handle this, and the choice affects the payout from Imogene.

Persuade: talk to the Security Chief and work through the persuasion check. This keeps things clean, which is what Imogene wants.

Pickpocket: with the Theft skill, the keycard can be lifted directly off the Security Chief without a conversation at all.

Kill: taking the guard out and looting the card also works, but it cuts into the credits Imogene pays out afterward, making it the lowest-reward option of the three.

2 – Return to Imogene at Ryujin Tower

Mission Text:
“I successfully obtained the Security Keycard. I need to return to Imogene Salzo at Ryujin Tower to hand it over.”

Once the keycard is in hand, head back to Imogene at Ryujin Tower in Neon, Volii Alpha, and hand it over. This wraps up Access is Key and starts the follow-up mission, Sowing Discord.
