Briefing
Officers responded to noise complaints in a shabby apartment block. The apartment in question belongs to Karin Vogt, who sublets it to her cousin Ben Keller. Karin granted the police access after she was unable to reach Ben herself and neighbors insist something violent has occurred. Ben is a known small-time criminal and his fingerprints are available for comparison.
Travel to the Crime Scene
The crime scene is in an architect’s office
Fingerprints
Take out your UV Light and look for fingerprints. Make sure to mark them and take a photo before extracting them with the fingerprint kit.
There is one fingerprint on the cooker.
Three fingerprints on the coffee table, two at the top, one in the section below.
There are two fingerprints in the bedroom. One on the drawer of the bedside table and one on top of the black toolbox on the floor.
One fingerprint is on the bathroom sink.
Evidence:
7x Fingerprint (Unknown)
Digital Device: Laptop
There is a laptop on the coffee table with the three fingerprints. Mark and take a photo before picking it up.
Evidence:
Digital Device Laptop – Novaris
Biological Sample
There are two Biological Samples at the coffee table. One in the lower compartment, the other one on the floor. Mark and take a photo before using the Bio Material Kit to extract them.
Evidence:
2x Biological Sample (Unknown)
Firearm
The firearm is hidden behind the bed. Use an evidence marker and take a photo before picking it up.
Evidence:
Firearm Pistol Gastl Armory GA-20C
Bullet Hole and Trajectory
The bullet hole is on the left side of the framed picture on the wall in the lounge. Move the picture for better access. Then use an Evidence marker and take a photo before extracting the bullet.
Evidence:
Projectile Caliber 9mm, Lead
Grab the trajectory rod and put it into the hole. Place the camera on the tripod so the TV is in the center of the screen. This should give you a 100% of the 50% needed to complete the analysis.

Analyzing the Evidence
Back in the Lab, read the emails. You will receive a DNA Profile and a fingerprint to compare the collected evidence with.
Evidence:
DNA Profile (Lars Neumann)
Fingerprint (Lars Neumann)
Firearm Bullet Analysis
Insert the found firearm into the Reference Projectiles Workstation. Then, shoot the firearm and collect the bullet from the water tank.
Analyse the bullet at the Projectile Comparison Workstation. The bullets match at 064-345.
Fingerprint Analysis
Now head to the Fingerprint Analysis workstation and compare the known fingerprints to the unknown ones. Ben Keller’s and Lars Neumann’s fingerprints are available to compare. Four match to Ben Keller’s and three Lars Neumann’s Export and pick up the results.
Decrypt Digital Devices
There is one laptop to decrypt. The Novaris device.
Biological Samples & DNA Analysis
First place the two available biological samples from the crime scene into the machine to generate a DNA report.
Wait until all the samples are processed, pick up the results and then compare Lars Neumann’s sample with both of the unknown ones. The first one matches with Lars Neumann in the medium frow from 6 to 15. The second sample also matches to Lars Neumann on the first row from 11 to 29. Export and pick up the reports.
Send the Results
Send all the results by email. You will receive seven emails. Read all the new emails.
This will complete and close the case with all evidence collected.
