In this Star Wars Outlaws walkthrough, I’ll lead you through the Main Quest: The Wreck. Kay gets a navigation computer for the Trailblazer. Follow along as I meet Waka to plan, locate the Class Eleven Power Core at the Imperial Comm Station, and then find the Nav Computer in the Wreck. Join me!
1. Talk to Waka
Waka contacted Kay about a lead on the navigation computer. They plan to meet at the Mirogana City Market to discuss. Waka found an EML-850 compatible navigation computer on a wreck buried in amberine. To reach the wreck, Kay needs to acquire a class eleven power core first. Waka recommends the Imperial Comm Station at Boulder Forest for this task.
The Wreck – Quest Objectives
“Waka has a potential lead on a nav computer for the Trailblazer and wants to meet to discuss it.”
2. Where is the Class Eleven Power Core at the Imperial Comm Station?
Let’s proceed with the walkthrough by heading to the Imperial Comm Station in Boulder Forest. This region is largely under imperial control, with the station located at the north end. It’s crucial to reach the station without being detected. If spotted, deal with the imperials swiftly!
When you get there, you’ll notice an AT-ST, also known as a “Chicken-Walker,” guarding the main gate entrance. To the left of the gate, there’s an opening in the mountain where an imperial droid is patrolling. Just follow it as it turns back into the gap.
On the opposite side, there’s a pit where the droid can float over. Kay, however, can swing over using an overhead grapple point. Time it right, as there’s another bot patrolling the area. Kay needs to avoid two droids in total to reach the left side of the Imperial Comm Station.
If you need to fight them, use the Ion Blaster.
Proceed to slice open the vent entrance located at the base of the Imperial Comm Station wall. This will allow you to enter discreetly.
On the other side is a small closed courtyard area with a laser gate. There are a couple of Imperial personnel that you can subdue quietly. Before proceeding to obtain the Class Eleven Power Core with this walkthrough, let’s first pick up one of the nearby ISB Report Collectibles.
Another vent in this area leads to a small command center. Enter through it to find the ISB Report Collectible: Gorak Palas on the computer console.
Lower the Energy Barrier by interacting with the computer. Return through the same vent to the command center. Retrieve the Class Eleven Power Core. Quietly climb the ladder without being spotted by Imperial personnel. Once you reach the top, head left. Use the nearby computer console to disable the cameras and open the security door as a precaution.
Head back to the ladder, but don’t descend. Keep following the wall towards the rear of the base. You’ll come across a few Stormtroopers patrolling. You have the option to either avoid them or deal with them promptly. In this area, there’s a grapple spot that Kay can utilize to descend into the building, right to the room with the Power Core.
Use the grapple point to descend into the building. Inside, you’ll encounter more imperial personnel blocking the door to the Class Eleven Power Core. Defeat them to proceed. Locate the lever inside the room, scan it with Nix, and instruct Nix to hold it. Enter the room swiftly once Nix activates the lever.
Inside the room, grab the Class Eleven Power Core and leave the same way you came in from the Imperial Comm Station.
3. How to find the Nav Computer in the Wreck?
The next task in this guide is to locate the Nav Computer in the Wreck. Waka will provide Kay with the wreck’s coordinates. Simply follow the quest marker uphill into a cave system.
Use the speeder to go through the tunnels until you reach a door. Next to the door is a panel linked to a power core on the ceiling. Insert the Class Eleven Power Core from the Imperial Comm Station into the panel, then shoot the power core on the ceiling to open the door.
The door opens to reveal a stunning view of the Wreck. The climbing adventure begins. Start by climbing the outside of the wreck. Refer to the screenshot below. Climb the rocky walls at the base of the wreck (1), then reach a platform above using the overhead grapple point (2). Swing to the other side of the ship using another overhead grapple point (3), where you can climb a yellow grated wall on the right side (4). Find a gap to squeeze through to access the next section.
On the other side, leap across the large gap in the ground. If you can’t make the jump, there’s a wall you can climb. Follow the path upward to discover a climbable wall you need to jump to reach.
This wall leads to a higher area, allowing you to stroll through a hollow engine section of the wreck.
Inside the tube, swing over using an overhead grapple point to move forward. As you exit the tube, Kay will comment, “This place is huge,” followed by a quick cinematic view of the area. Then, use the grapple point in front of Kay to descend. Follow the path; the floor will collapse, and Kay will slide down into the ship, completing the “Reach the old shipwreck” quest objective.
Follow the path inside the ship where Kay needs to climb further. Utilize the overhead grapple point at the path’s end to swing over to the yellow grated wall on the opposite side. From there, Kay can ascend to the next level in the top right of the screenshot below.
The next area is dark, so Kay will use her torch. Walk down the only ramp and look for the next ramp on the opposite side of the room. At the top of the second ramp, there’s an energy core that Kay can shoot with the Ion Blaster to unlock the door on the left.
Go through the door to the other side. You’ll spot a yellow grated wall immediately, which you can climb to reach another closed door. This door requires energizing two power cores to open.
Navigate through another dark area of the wreck to reach the ship’s reactor room. Kay will indicate it, and we’ll revisit it later. Then, locate another yellow grated wall section to climb higher.
Search for yellow bars at the top of the wall. The climb goes up to the top left to reach a broken walkway. At the end, Kay can leap to a yellow bar and then climb upwards to the left.
Descend on the opposite side of the climb to reach an area with large vertical coils. Proceed to the platform’s end to leap to the other side. The path ahead involves walking on the coils, with the option to use yellow rails for support when jumping onto the wall on the opposite side.
Use the yellow bars to reach the area on the right. You’ll find a grapple point to descend deeper into the wreck. Inside, there are chairs, and computer consoles, and the next room will lead you to the bridge, completing this part of the quest.
This is step three in “The Wreck” main quest: Restore power to the reactor. Leave this room, use the grapple point in the next room to descend, and head into the reactor room. Follow the catwalk in the reactor room until it breaks, and Kay will slide down again, taking Kay down to the lower level of the reactor.
Find a grapple point to descend to the base of the reactor. Activate the lever to power it up. Proceed around the reactor and ascend the ladder to the next level. Once at the top of the ladder, circle the reactor until you locate a yellow grated wall to climb up.
At this level, you can use another computer to fully activate the reactor. Once active, the reactor will control vent slots opening and closing. Climb up using the open ventilation slots, but avoid climbing when they’re about to close. Timing is crucial.
The lever to restore power is at the top of the reactor. Use it to finish this section of the “The Wreck” Main Quest.
The next step of the quest and this guide is to “Find a way to the bridge.” After activating the reactor completely, a ramp will slide out, indicating the direction of the bridge. Jump down from the ramp to the opposite side of the collapsed catwalk section. Follow the catwalk, using an overhead grapple point to swing across and reach the lit door at the end, where a door leads to a turbo-lift.
It will go to a dark, chaotic part of the ship. Scan the room for a computer terminal. Access it for the story to continue. There is also another terminal in this room where you can Transfer Data to learn more about this ship.
Exit the room on the right and cross over to the other section by swinging across the missing piece of the catwalk. On the other side, go through the door and follow the path to the only other open door available. You’ll find another computer where you can learn more about the wreck from a “Technician’s Log”. Proceed to a broken cargo elevator area with yellow grated flooring. Locate a power core above the broken door ahead that you can shoot with your Ion blaster.
A cargo elevator will lower for you to climb with Kay. Shoot the power core again to go up. When it stops, switch to another elevator and shoot its power core to go up higher. Jump to a catwalk that is blocked by sliding walls. Just wait for them to slide back to cross over to climb the grated wall at the end of the way.
At the top of the grated wall Kay climbed, you can now cross over the sliding walls. Wait for them to align before crossing. Move fast! Jump to a yellow-marked grated wall at the other end to climb higher.
At the top of the climb, take the path to the only door. It will open, allowing you to enter a red, steamy corridor with a gap to pass through on the other side. Follow the well-lit corridor to reach the bridge, completing the quest step “Find a way to the bridge.” Interact with the big, round center console to continue with the story.
As soon as Kay interacts with the computer, she is being attacked. Defeat the attackers and finally pick up the Nav Computer from the center console. A cinematic will then start, revealing Waka to be a traitor. He had told Zerek Besh where Kay was. Just in time, Vail, one of Zerek Besh’s people shoots Waka and keeps threatening Kay. Kay, quick with her fingers, pushes a couple of buttons on the center console, which makes the ship move and stumble both of them.
4. Escape the Shipwreck and finish the Quest
An action-packed segment of the quest begins. Kay must flee the shipwreck amidst chaos, pursued by Zerek Besh’s headhunters. With only one escape route, she encounters jump scares and explosions along the way. As the “Escape” phase ends, a cinematic unfolds: Kay struggles to open a partially closed door as Vail approaches. A Battle Droid intervenes, urging Kay to flee and shield her from Vail.
Kay goes down a tube and lands near the speeder. Hop on to escape through the tunnels for the quest. Once you get to Boulder Forest, fast travel and reach the Trailblazer easily at Mirogana City’s Landing Zone. Inside, Kay is surprised by ND-5 and Jaylen Vrax offering a heist job at Sliro’s Mansion. The Main Quest wraps up with them planning the initial heist.
