With Quartz on hold, Styx sets off after the ancient runes Wren once hinted at. Scattered across the continent, they’ve drawn little attention – until now.

Retrieve the Bat Rune

For the Bat Rune, you first have to reach the Inquisition’s Cathedral balloon station. You can use your glider from the Zeppelin’s Docks and glide across the gap towards the Wall right to the balloon terminal.

At the Inquisition’s Cathedral, the rune is at the forge. From the balloon, cross over to the other side of the courtyard. Look for a lift hanging on two climbable ropes that leads from the ground floor to the floor above. Here’s the rune. There is a chandelier you can drop on the two inside the forge. If you climb out of the chimney from here, you can easily unlock the Empire’s dungeon’s Balloon. Just travel further along the roofs.

Killing an enemy with a stab refills some health.

Retrieve the Snake Rune

Travel to the Supply Docks at Turquoise Dawn. It’s on the same level where the “Quartz on the Tracks” was. You can drop down a chandelier on the upper floor. The Rune is here, on the mine cart.

Rune effect:
“Killing an enemy with a stab also dissolves the corpse.”

Retrieve the Wolf Rune

The Wolf Rune is at the Zeppelin Docks, on the second level of the train tracks tunnel. It’s inside the room with the metal bars. I used the grapple to reach the door to this room. You can hide under the table until the guard is standing right in front of the gap in the floor. A good push and he’s gone.

Rune effect:
Stabbing an enemy from the ground can be performed from a further distance, teleporting Stys in their back.
