Chapter 1: Three Blind Mice Walkthrough – Judgment

1 – Buy a Gift for the Office

Mission Text:
“If I want Genda-sensai to give me some work, I’d better appeal to his sweet tooth. There’s a convenience store right over on Tenkaichi Street”

Exit the office through the door, head downstairs, and follow the map to the marked location. There, you can purchase Dorayaki sweets from the food shop.

2 – Defeat the thugs

After leaving the shop, you’ll be confronted by a group of thugs. Handle them accordingly. Once the fight is over, you’ll be introduced to Hamura.

3 – Head to Genda Law Office

Mission Text:
“Let’s hit up the old office.”

Head to the office, where you’ll find an elevator at street level. Following the dorayaki cutscene, you’ll seamlessly move on to the next step.

Stop the investigation and, during the conversation, mention, “The owner’s initials are engraved on the dial.” Confront and defeat the thugs.

4 – Inquire About a Job

Mission Text:
“I can’t believe how fast she… Oh well. I’ll ask Genda-sensei if he’s got any work.”

Head over to Genda’s desk and have a conversation with him. Once you’re done, make your way to the exit. Following another cutscene, you head to Tender.

5 – Head to Tender

Mission Text:
“I haven’t had to deal with a murder in a while. I’ll meet Shintani at Tender.”

Take the elevator down and make your way to Tender.

Upon entering the bar, a conversation with Shintani will trigger automatically. To proceed correctly, select the following dialogue options:
1 – Why did the police arrest Hamura?
2 – What has Hamura said about it?

6 – Head to Kamurocho PD Station

Mission Text:
“Captain Hamura got arrested? I’d better see what’s up. I’ll take a taxi to the station.”

Exit the bar and take a taxi to Kamuro Police Station.

7 – Talk to Hamura

Talk to Hamura at the Kamurocho PD Station. The correct conversation choices are:
1 – Arguing with Kume.
2 – About the Victim.
3 – About the Alibi.

8 – Investigate Sauna Goten

Mission Text:
“Hamura says he was at Sauna Goten on the night of the murder. Let’s see if his alibi holds water…”

Head to Sauna Goten.

Upon arriving at Sauna Goten, speak with the employee at the front desk, easily identified by their orange attire. Once your conversation is complete, proceed to speak with the witness.

Speak with the remaining witnesses marked by conversation bubbles. Two can be found on the road, and those should provide all the information you need.

9 – Rest up at Yagami Detective Agency

Mission Text:
“Whew, busy day. I should head back to my office.”

Relax on the sofa at the Yagami Detective Agency.

10 – Head to Café Mijore

Mission Text:
“Café Mijore is on the second floor of a building on Nakamichi Street. Shintani can get testy if you keep him waiting…”

Step out of the office and make your way to the Café, located a short climb up the stairs beside a burger shop. Upon entering, a conversation with Shintani will immediately begin.

11 – Head to Club Amour

Mission Text:
“This is where Hamura abducted Kume on the night of the murder. It should be on Suppon Street.”

Exit the Café and make your way to Club Amour, following the directions on the map. Your objective here is to locate the camera that captured the incident involving Hamura. Upon reaching the club, you’ll enter Active Search Mode. To find the camera, turn 180 degrees – it’s positioned above the Girl’s Bar sign.

Focus on the camera and examine it closely. Once done, end the investigation and proceed to enter the Club, where the conversation will begin automatically. Exit through the back door as instructed.

12 – Head to Mantai Internet Café

Mission Text:
“When it comes to finding people, nobody beats this guy. He hangs out at an internet café in Theater Square.”

Follow the map to the café and enter the building. Take the stairs and proceed to the marked location. There, speak with the person in the cubicle who will modify the Chatter app to enable tracking. Once done, exit the building and head to the large red circle on the map. Look for the man wearing a red hat and talk to him.

13 – Go to a Sushi Place on Taihei Boulevard

Mission Text:
“He really was there… amazing. The owner of Amour is apparently at a sushi restaurant on Taihei Boulevard. I’d better move it.”

Head to the restaurant marked on the map. The conversation will begin as you approach. When prompted with “What evidence proves this man is involved?”, present the third picture – the one showing the men walking away.

You will have a conversation with him inside the Club. The correct conversation choices are:
1 – About the Violence in the Club.
2 – About the Security Camera Out Back.

Step out of the club and take the call.

14 – Return to Yagami Detective Agency

Return to the office, where you’ll engage in a conversation with Mafuyu. Once the discussion concludes, leave the office and follow after her.

15 – Buy a Figure for Tsukumo

Mission Text:
“I should get something for Tsukumo as thanks. Ebisu would probably have something.”

After speaking with Tsukumo, head to the pawn shop marked on your map. Talk to the salesperson, select “buy,” and purchase a Figure. Once you’ve made your purchase, leave the shop and return to Tsukumo at the Internet Café, also marked on your map. You’ll find him in the same cubicle – deliver the Figure to complete the task.

16 – Talk to Shintani

Mission Text:
“Hamura’s been indicted… I should check with Shintani to see how he’s going to proceed.”

Have a meeting with Shintani at the Lawyer’s Office.

Take a seat on the sofa and review the police documents obtained by Shintani. Pay close attention to the eyes in the photograph during your investigation.

Investigate the floor in front of the victim.

Investigate the garbage bag to the right.

Last, investigate the victim’s pocket. Then, stop the investigation and finish the conversation.

17 – Head to the Matsugane Family Office

Mission Text:
“Matsugane-san should know where the Kyorei Clan is operating.”

Head to the marked location on the map, where the conversation will begin automatically. Once it’s finished, be sure to answer the phone.

18 – Head to KJ Art

Mission Text:
“KJ Art is on Senryo Avenue? To think a Kansai operation would set up shop right under the Tojo Clan’s nose… Hope it doesn’t lead to war.”

Head to the marked location on the map and answer the call upon arrival. Once there, look for Kaito on the rooftop across from you.

Meet him on the rooftop and have a conversation. Then, pilot the drone to the side of the house where Murase is assaulting someone.

He’ll go back to the front of the house, one floor up.

Your next step is to enter the building, and the approach is up to you. Personally, I opted for a disguise. First, I picked a lock and disabled the heater. Then, I bought a handyman outfit (Work Clothes) from the shop. After that, head to the building’s roof to meet Kaito and switch into the repairman disguise. Once ready, enter the building and speak with the receptionist. Proceed to the security room and remember to switch on the lights.

Find the blueprints.

Locate the key and inspect the safe.

The password is noted on a Post-it attached to the laptop.

Leave the security room and head to the right. Exit the area and look for a man near the broken heater who needs your help. Follow him up the fire escape, fix his heater, and then move on. Proceed one level up to a locked door, which can be unlocked using the key you found in the security office.

Climb the stairs and pick the lock to gain entry. Once inside, go through the open window and climb the ladder to the roof. Navigate around the ventilation system by following the arrow signs and prepare for a fight.

After the battle, head one floor down and pass through the gate. From there, make your way into Murase’s Room. Engage in a fight with him, then present the Kume’s Autopsy Report Picture to conclude the encounter.

Note the absence of blood, conclude the conversation, and wrap up the day by resting in your office.

19 – Report to Shintani

Mission Text:
“I need to let Shintani know about Murase’s statement. I’ll meet him at Genda Law Office.”

Go to Genda Law Office and speak with Shintani. After your conversation, wait for Shintani to call you. Once he does, take a taxi to the Police Station. There, you’ll have a non-interactive conversation with Hamura.

20 – Head to Tender

Mission Text:
“Damn, I’ve hit a wall here. But apparently a cop named Ayabe has been leaking intel? Maybe I’ll find him at Tender.”

Visit the Tender Bar and speak with the Bartender, who has valuable information to share. He will direct Yagami to Stardust. Once there, approach the man standing outside the entrance to continue.

Answer the phone call to receive assistance in tracking down Seiya. When prompted for additional tracking information, select “Date.” Next, head to the red search circle to locate the woman who posted the information and speak with her. There are three search areas to explore, so be prepared to move around. After the third area turns up empty, you’ll receive another phone call with a credible lead. Follow it to the restaurant where you’ll meet Seiya. The conversation will begin as soon as you enter.

21 – Find the Kyushu No. 1 Star Security Camera

Mission Text:
“When Kume was murdered, Hamura was assaulting Seiya in Pink Alley near Kyushu No. 1 Star. That’s the proof I need!”

Make your way to the red circle marked on the map. As you step into the alley, Active Search Mode will automatically activate. Locate the Video Camera within this area.

Stop the investigation and defeat Murase.

22 – Head to KJ Art / Rescue Seiyas Sister

Mission Text:
“Why would the Kyorei Clan stoop this low?! I’ve gotta rescue Seiya’s younger sister!”

Head over to KJ Art and meet Kaito on the rooftop once again. While Kaito keeps the Clan distracted, use the opportunity to pick the lock and slip inside. You’ll come across another locked door, which can be opened with a wire—if you don’t already have one, you’ll find one nearby.

Carefully sneak past the receptionist and head upstairs. Prepare to face a Clan member in a fight before continuing your way up. At the top, another lock awaits to be picked. Once inside, you’ll encounter another group of Clan members ready for a fight. Afterward, pick yet another lock and brace for more combat.

When you’re back in the corridor, you’ll have the chance to question a Clan member for more information. The correct conversation choices are:
1 – Where’s the girl?
2 – What’s the code for the door?
Code: 1370

Use the key obtained in an earlier mission to unlock the door and proceed. Climb the stairs and pick the lock at the top. Enter the code to open the reception door. Confront and defeat the Clan to advance to Chapter 2: Beneath the Surface.
