In the “A Pleasure District Portrait” main mission in “Rise of the Ronin“, you have to use your newly acquired camera to take a couple of pictures for the owner of the Pleasure District in the Miyozaki Region. Here’s the step-by-step guide to get you through the mission.
Step 1 – How to Photograph the Servant’s Quarters
Luckily, the mission is providing us with camera makers that show the target. On the ground floor, follow the marker and look for a gap in the wall of the target’s room. For the Servan’t Quarters, the gap for taking the photograph is inside the building and easy to find.
Make sure you put your camera in one of the loadout slots and take the photograph as shown in the screenshot below. The red circle means that the photograph is perfect.
Step 2 – Photograph the Rooms
Next, two photographs have to be taken. The first one is on the second floor. For this photograph, you have to exit the building. Look for an open window in a room where two people are lying on the floor and exit through there.
Turn left, cross the balcony and the roof on the other side. The red photography mission marker should help you here. The screenshot below shows how to take the photograph.
For the second photograph of this mission step, head back inside. There is a grapple point that will take you up to a wooden beam, the highest spot in the building. Follow the photography marker through a crawl space, where you can shoot a photograph of the couple.
Step 3 – Report your Findings to Taka
Taka is the woman who gave you the mission to shoot the photographs. Deliver them to her. She’s on the second floor in her room. There is a mission marker that will take you there.
Step 4 – Photograph the Room down the Hall
Taka would like to have one last photograph of the group sitting in the room down the hall. She urges you to be careful, but nothing will happen if you get too close. In fact, you really have to get very close to the gap in the wall to be able to get the red circle in the image! You can shoot the photo while standing – no need to crouch.
After you’ve taken the picture, a Drunk Samurai will spot you and you have to defeat him in the garden. Then, the mission is complete.
