Potion Permit: First Badge Promotion Walkthrough

1 – Talk to Myer

You’ve met Myer at the start of the game. He’s the Mayor. So you can find him either at the Town Hall, top floor, or in his house in the south west of the map.

2 – Get Letter of Recommendation

Return to the Potion House and sleep one night. Just when you’ll try to exit the house the next morning, a cutscene starts with two visitors. To get the promotion, you’ll have to pass a chemist test.

To pass the First Chemistry Test, interact with the research table at the Potion House and choose“The First Chemistry Test”.

Click on all question marks and then find the Water and the Air Symbol (below the magnifying glass) in the right positions. See in below screenshot where they are.

3 – Craft Blue Blood

Return to the cauldron at Potion House. You can now brew the Blue Blood Potion.

The recipe puzzle requires you to fill 15 tiles but only water and wind element ingredients are allowed. If you haven’t upgraded your cauldron to six ingredients, now is the time to do so. 4 – Talk to Xiao

Go talk to Xiao. Most of the time you can find him at the reception desk at the Town Hall. After talking to him, the FIRST CHEMISTRY TEST Quest is complete. Go back to Potion House, sleep one night and you’ll get your promotion the next day.
