Mystery Foxes are not permanently marked on the map when you pass by their location. They only appear on the map after being collected. While they shimmer when you’re nearby, they can still be tricky to spot. This guide is divided into two sections: Mystery Foxes exclusive to Chapters and those found in Explore mode. The overview map includes all their locations, with a “chapter” note for those hidden within specific chapters.
After collecting all of the 50 Mystery Foxes, return to Enzo’s Apartment in Explore Mode to receive the “Baskerville” Outfit, which makes Enzo look like a German Shepherd Dog in a stylish suit.

Mystery Foxes in Chapters
Out of the 50 Mystery Foxes, 10 are hidden within specific chapters. If you miss one, you’ll need to replay the chapter to collect it. However, you don’t need to fully complete the chapter – simply revisit to grab the collectible.
Chapter 3 – Pizzu
In Chapter 3: Pizzu, Enzo, Luca, and Cesare ride to Porto Almaro, where Enzo has to sneak into the customs office and the Impound Yard. Inside the impound yard, you can find a mystery fox in the far right corner, near the second patrolling guard.
Chapter 4 – Il Barone
In Chapter 4: Il Barone, Enzo ends up in Messina’s Camp. The camp has basically three parts: A lower camp starting point, the cave, and the upper camp. Exit the cave up the staircase to reach the upper camp. At the very start of the upper camp, there is a Mystery Fox at the ledge to the right.
Chapter 5 – Vendetta D’Onore
In Chapter 5: Vendetta D’Onore, Enzo must locate Ludovici in his study. Approach the study door to trigger a cutscene showing Ludovici making his escape. Before pursuing him, step into the study – revealed to be a dining room – where you’ll discover a hidden mystery fox tucked away in the corner.
Chapter 6 – La Difesa Siciliana
Enzo can enter the Guardia Station at San Celeste in Chapter 6: La Difesa Siciliana. Go upstairs and go to the northeastern corner office to find a mystery fox there.
Chapter 9 – Industria
In Chapter 9: Industria, Enzo gets to enter the factory in Collezolfo. Head to the western outside yard of the factory to find the Mystery Fox inside one of the crates.
Chapter 11 – Mattanza
In Chapter 11: Mattanza, Enzo heads to the tonnara for a meeting with Spandaro. After the meeting, a shootout starts. In the first room of the shootout, head upstairs to find a Mystery Fox.
Chapter 12 – La Forza del Destino – Dressing Room
In Chapter 12: La Forza del Destino, Enzo travels to Palermo and crosses the sewers to get to the opera house. There is a Mystery Fox in the Dressing Room.
Chapter 12 – La Forza del Destino – Wicker Box
In Chapter 12: La Forza del Destino, Enzo travels to Palermo and crosses the sewers to get to the opera house. After leaving the dressing room, where the first guardia are, there is an open wicker box with a mystery fox inside. Replay the chapter to retrieve it.
Chapter 12 – La Forza del Destino – Downstairs
In Chapter 12: La Forza del Destino, Enzo travels to Palermo. After crossing the backstage area, he can go down a staircase, where he can take out one of Spadaro’s private security guards. In this area is the Mystery Fox.
Chapter 13 – Capiregime
In Chapter 13: Capiregime, Enzo and Cesare must reach a church. Just below the church is a vista terrace overlooking Porto Almaro. Here is a Mystery Fox.
Mystery Foxes in Explore Mode
Out of the 50 total Mystery Foxes in Mafia: The Old Country, 40 can be found scattered across the open world. These elusive creatures prefer civilized areas and often take shelter within structures. Here’s a guide to help you locate them.
Affini Farm North
The Affini Farm is the lemon farm Enzo visits in Chapter 3: Pizzu. North of this farm is a small house with a Mystery Fox.
Collezolfo – Lorenzetti’s Office
Below Lorenzetti’s Office in Collezolfo is a mystery fox hiding in a storage alcove. You can pick it up in Chapter 9: Industria, but it is also available in Explore Mode.
Collezolfo – North
North of Collezolfo is a house by the road with a Mystery Fox hiding behind it on the balcony.
Collezolfo Sulfur Mine
On the western side of the bridge, southeast of the Colleczolfo Sulfur Mine, is a house with a chicken coop and a shed. The Mystery Fox is inside this shed.
Enzo’s Apartment
There is a Mystery Fox in Enzo’s Apartment (Explore Mode). Return to this Mystery Fox after collecting all of the 50 Mystery Foxes in Mafia: The Old Country. It will unlock the Baskerville outfit.
Fiumansa – The Tannery
Just above the Tannery entrance, where the printer is in the basement, you can find a Mystery Fox. You will potentially come past the fox during Chapter 8: Disgrazia, but it can also be found in Explore mode.
Fiumansa – The Tannery South
South of the tannery, by the crossroads, are two houses. In between is a Mystery Fox.
Fontanella – Houses
At the Fontanella Fast Travel Point, there are two houses, with one of them hiding a Mystery Fox.
Fontanella – West
Just northwest of the Fontanella Fast Travel Point is a camp with two tents and a cart. Here you can find another Mystery Fox.
Lago Efesto Crossroads
Between Lago Efesto and Villa Torrisi, just by the crossroads, is one of the rare houses in the region that isn’t fenced off and inaccessible. Here you can find a Mystery Fox.
Pasquale’s Gas Station – North
North of Pasquale’s Gas Station is a house with a terrace at the top. Here is the Mystery Fox.
Pasquale’s Store
One Mystery Fox can be bought for 5000 Dinari in Pasquale’s Store.

Porto Almaro – Dumpster
In the northwestern part of Porto Almaro is a fruit market stall with a wooden dumpster next to it. Inside is the Mystery Fox.
Porto Almaro – Lighthouse
Explore the Porto Almaro Lighthouse and catch a glimpse of the enigmatic Mystery Fox gazing wistfully out at the sea.
Porto Almaro – Tower
There is a tower by the road just east of Porto Almaro. You can enter it and climb to the top, where you can find a Mystery Fox gazing at the town.
Salt Farm – East
Located just east of Porto Almaro’s salt farm stand two closely positioned buildings crowned by a windmill. Beneath this windmill lies the hiding place of the elusive Mystery Fox.
Salt Farm – West
At the western Salt Farm Docks, just east of Porto Almaro, is another Mystery Fox.
San Celeste – Bordello
In Chapter 7: Spirito Sportivo, Enzo is at the Bordello. Before entering the building, find this mystery fox hidden in the bushes on the balcony. It can be picked up in Explore Mode as well. This area is open.
San Celeste – East 1
Travel east from San Celeste along the main road. After navigating the two prominent curves on the map, look for a farmhouse on your left. Stop there, and you’ll discover a mysterious fox waiting in the shed.
San Celeste – East 2
East of San Celeste and north of the Torrisi Fast Travel Point is another small farmhouse with an empty chicken coop. The Mystery Fox is sitting by the fence, hoping that they’ll come back.
San Celeste – East Crossroads
Head east from San Celeste along the main road. At the first crossroads, you’ll spot a house where a curious Mystery Fox can be seen peering into the chicken coop.
San Celeste – Eastern Village
In Chapter 3: Pizzu, Enzo, Luca, and Cesare are riding out to collect money from farmers. At the first stop is a farmer who gladly pays and has the money ready. On the other side of this farm is a building with an outer staircase. Up there is the Mystery Fox.
San Celeste – Far East
In the very east of San Celeste, on the easternmost road, before the map ends, is a village. South of it, up the hill, is a small house. The Mystery Fox is hiding there in the bushes next to the cart and the stacked wood.
San Celeste – North
There is a farm in the north of San Celeste with a Mystery Fox. This time, it is having a nap in a wheel cart.
San Celeste – Northwest
Northwest of San Celeste and southwest of Pasquale’s Store is a farmhouse that is hiding a mystery fox in the yard.
San Celeste – Northwest 1
Northwest of San Celeste and southwest of Pasquale’s Store is a farmhouse that is hiding a mystery fox in the yard.
San Celeste Northwest 2
Northwest of San Celeste is a house that hides a mystery fox at the back.
San Celeste – Southeast
Southeast of the Bordello of San Celeste is a house by the road. A Mystery Fox is hiding here.

Southwest of San Celeste is a small group of houses with a winding road. Look for a set table with a white tablecloth. The Mystery Fox stands nearby.
San Celeste – West
West of San Celeste is a fenced estate with a Mystery Fox.
Timber Mill
There is a Mystery Fox at the northwestern building of the timber mill west of Pasquale’s Store.
Timber Mill – South
From the Timber Mill, ride south. Near the stream is a ruined building with a photography spot. Inside the building is the Mystery Fox.
Timber Mill – Viewpoint
Follow the main road going south from the timber mill. Before crossing the stream, there is a narrow path going uphill. Follow the path and climb the ledge at the end of it. Keep climbing and following the path until you find a Mystery Fox standing on a tree stump.
Tonnara – Southeast
West of Pasquale’s Gas Station and southeast of the Tonnara is a house with a staircase going up. At the back of this house, at the top of this staircase, is a mystery fox.
Torrisi Fast Travel Point – South 1
South of the Torrisi Fast Travel Point in Explore Mode is a big estate in the middle of a field. Here is another Mystery Fox.
Torrisi Fast Travel Point – South 2
South of the Torrisi Fast Travel point and west of the quarry is a ruined house. Inside is the Mystery Fox.
Torrisi Fast Travel Point – Southwest
Southwest of the Torrisi Fast Travel Point and east of Villa Ludovici is a house with a Mystery Fox hiding at the back.
Torrisi Fast Travel Point – West
West of the Torrisi Fast Travel Point and north of Villa Ludovici is a farm on the side of the road. Head to the northern part of this farm, where the well is, to find the Mystery Fox.
Villa Torrisi Chapel
North of Villa Torrisi, you’ll find a chapel that remains closed during the main story playthroughs. However, revisit the area in Explorer Mode, and you’ll discover a Mystery Fox waiting inside the chapel, right by the door.

In the very east of Villa Torrisi is a ruined house by a narrow, winding road. Here is a Mystery Fox.
Villa Torrisi – West
West of Villa Torrisi are two houses on the narrow road. The upper house has a wall in front of it, where the Mystery Fox is sitting.
