Starting Arthur’s Treasure Map Quest

To start the Cache in the Castle relationship quest, meet Arthur in front of the Charms Classroom at the Astronomy Wing.

Arthur has found a treasure map and would love to know what’s hidden at the end of it, though he’s more interested in solving the mystery than the reward itself. Arthur’s Treasure Map shows three individual locations, drawn more like rough sketches than an actual map. We’ll go from top right to bottom right, ending at the final landmark.

First Landmark: The Rhinoceros Skeleton

Take the small staircase down from Arthur’s position. You’ll see a large round area circled on the mini map, showing roughly where to go. The first landmark from Arthur’s Treasure Map is the rhinoceros skeleton, found at the main staircase of the Astronomy Wing.

Second Landmark: The Wyvern Fountain

Continue down and exit the building on the ground floor into the courtyard between the Astronomy Wing and the Library Annex. The second landmark from Arthur’s Treasure Map is a Wyvern Fountain that matches the drawing exactly. Line the fountain up in the same position as shown on the map, and you’ll see which door to take next.

Third Landmark: The Painting’s Secret

Enter the building through the door revealed at the Wyvern Fountain. Head straight ahead and up the stairs until you reach the painting shown below – the third and final landmark from Arthur’s Treasure Map.

Look for the hook at the top centre of the painting’s frame, then cast Accio on it. The painting will swing open to reveal a hidden chest containing a new Appearances Collections item: the Authentic Historian’s Uniform.

Return to Arthur

With all three landmarks found, report back to Arthur to complete the Cache in the Castle quest. He’s on the same floor as before, just a little further back.
