Crimson Desert: Thinning Blade Questline Walkthrough

#1 – Crossing Point

Crossing Point is one of four questlines in Chapter 9 that follow after The Calling. After reading four inscriptions on the statues, four questlines are unlocked. This is the Master Du’s Training: Abyss encryption.

It reads:
“There are things that grow stronger the more they are worn and weathered.
Enlightenment shall begin where the swords of past and present cross.”

Reveal the Secret of the Stone Tablet

For Master Du’s Training: Abyss, you have to travel north to the Forebearer’s Barrens in the Crimson Desert.

This area has a large tower and two mirror-puzzle sections. Look for the active, glowing mirrors with a beam to the right side of the tower. The beam starts at the glowing crystal. You can move the mirrors with “Stab“. Look for the slots at the base of the mirrors.

Move the one mirror that is not glowing (shown in the screenshot) to the right, so the beam is guided to the other crystal that directs the beam to the other mirror puzzle in the southwest.

Follow the beam to the other mirror puzzle. Move the mirrors in the same way, so the beam goes to the inactive crystal with the round outer ring. Below is the mirror puzzle solution. This will open the tower door.

Go Through the Spire of the Sun to Enter the Abyss

Enter the tower and follow the beam to where it is misaligned. Interact with it and move it to the mirror at the top. This will repair the staircase.

Repeat this process until you’ve reached the top, where you have to guide the beam to the crystal in the ceiling. Climb the steps up to a platform that elevates you to the next section, the Abyss Gate.

#2 – Unwavering Steps

Description:
“On the edge of the dunes, the mirrors of a cryptic ruin lie shattered, casting fractured light across the shifting sands.”

Go Through the Spire of the Sun to Enter the Abyss

Enter the tower and follow the beam to where it is misaligned. Interact with it and move it to the mirror at the top. This will repair the staircase.

Repeat this process until you’ve reached the top, where you have to guide the beam to the crystal in the ceiling. Climb the steps up to a platform that elevates you to the next section, the Abyss Gate. Interact with it to enter the Abyss.

As soon as you arrive, you can unlock the Abyss Nexus and defeat Goyen to complete the questline.
