After mastering the “New Tricks” in the previous Main Quest, Waka contacts Kay to indicate his readiness to repair the fuel injectors on the Trailblazer. Soon after the ship is prepared, the Crimson Dawn presents a mission labeled “False Flag.” This is the complete walkthrough.
MISSION OBJECTIVES
Jaunta’s Hope, Toshara
“Kay has secured the fuel injectors needed for the Trailblazer and must go to Waka in Jaunta’s Hope to finalize the ship’s repairs. Having a functional starship will open up new opportunities for jobs.”
Key Quest Steps:
1 – Bring the fuel injectors to Waka
-> At Jounta’s Hope Settlement Landing Pad.
2 – Recover the Cargo of Sansanna
-> A free-floating cargo box in space. Shoot it where it’s yellow.
3 – Reach the Imperial Fuel Station
-> Follow the mission marker and the Tie Fighters.
4 – Find the Data Vault
-> This involves a lot of sneaking and quiet takedowns.
5 – Find a Terminal with Info on the Data Vault
-> Inside the first Command Center.
6 – Reach the Data Vault
-> Climbing is the best way!
7 – Activate Bosnok’s Sled
-> Help Bosnok to flee.
8 – Escaping and Returning to Toshara
-> Fight the Tie Fighters in the Debris Field.
1. Bring the Fuel Injectors to Waka
Waka is at the Landing Pad of Jaunta’s Hope, near the Trailblazer. Talk to him to upgrade the ship. Replace the red, highlighted Propulsion part with the new Fuel injectors.
Immediately after that, Eleera from Crimson Dawn presents them with a job offer: Infiltrate an Imperial Station in Toshara’s Orbit, erase specific data, and implicate the Pyke Syndicate in the process.
Board the Trailblazer, take a seat in the cockpit, and journey to Toshara space.
2. Recover the cargo of Sansanna
Eleera provides coordinates for collecting a cargo load of the spice “Sansanna” still aboard a cargo ship. Kay can pretend to make a delivery, safely land at the Imperial Station, shoot the yellow Sansanna container at the specified coordinates, and use the transporter beam to retrieve it after defeating the raiders approaching.
3. Reach the Imperial Fuel Station
When you reach the Visavi Fuel Station, you’ll enter Imperial Territory and Tie Fighters will come close. Waka explains they encountered issues with their freighter, hence the ship switch. The Imperial Officer directs them to dock at bay 3 following the Tie Escort. Simply follow the Tie Fighters to land at the Imperial Fuel Station automatically. After landing, check in with Waka. He’s at the back of the ship.
4. Find the Data Vault
I ran into a trivial difficulty here: How to exit the ship when the cargo ramp is not down? It is also in the cargo hold. If you can’t find it, here’s a screenshot just for the Trailblazer exit door:
Exit through the door, jump to the ground floor, and seek cover. Locate the black, flat cargo transporter in the hangar and activate it. It will float to the hangar exit. Use it as a shield to pass the guards and enter the station.
On the other side of the door, the cargo transporter will pass through the red forcefield. Kay will find a vent cover next to the force field door that she can open to proceed. Once through, Kay will confirm “We are in” and start searching for a floor plan.
5. Find a Terminal with Info on the Data Vault
In the room after the first vent, you’ll find a cargo elevator. It’s a platform with a yellow frame. Once you stand on it for a moment, it will start moving up. There’s a “call” button on it, but you won’t need to use it on your first visit.
On the top floor, go down the corridor to the opposite side and open the door. Inside, you’ll find a corridor leading to the main command center with a computer terminal. Stay hidden, eliminate the Imperial personnel, and be sure to check for alarm boxes to sabotage. Proceed to the control room, deal with the officers, and use the computer terminal here. Just behind the round control terminal, by the window.
6. Reach the Data Vault
Exit through the left door and climb the ladder. While doing that, Waka recommends shifting the blame from the Pykes, as Eleera proposed, to Crimson Dawn. Looks like that’s the plan once we reach the vault.
At the top of the ladder, walk along the catwalk to a large Imperial door that you can unlock with a lockpick. Inside, there is a corridor filled with Stormtroopers. Disable the alarm on the wall and deal with them. Your goal is to reach the room on the left, which is protected by a surveillance camera.
Inside the room, there’s a narrow corridor with a ladder leading down. Descend all the way to find a vent that allows you to sneak deeper into the Imperial Fuel Station.
At the end of the vent, you’ll see a rail system carrying two large containers – one on the left and one on the right. When you jump down, the containers will move left. Follow them swiftly. There’s a passage with a red force field on the right. Get onto the small platform, unlock the force field, and proceed through.
This passage leads to a ladder going up into a room with thick pipes and steam. Move left, then jump down onto a steamy platform where the patrolling Stormtroopers won’t see you. Instead of confronting them, proceed left through the door that requires lockpicking first.
Avoid the Imperials in the room, go up the ladder at the end. You’re now in a control room with a red forcefield. Ask Nix to switch off the power on the right side.
In the control room, deal with the Imperial Officer, access the computer, slice it to deactivate security cameras, lower the Maintenance Energy Barrier, and then exit through the only available door.
You are currently on a catwalk above the patrolling Stormtroopers from the “Go left here!” screenshot. You can jump down here to proceed, but be cautious of the Stormtroopers’ movements. Avoid jumping down directly in front of them! Then, head straight ahead to the door that opens the path to another broad corridor. Open the door at the other end to access an area that looks like a command center but has no computer to interact with. This is the Tie Fighter Hangar, where the Data Vault is.
You have two options: stay on the upper level to swing and climb to the Data Vault, or head down to the ground level to evade the Imperial Troops. If you choose to stay up, approach the Tie Fighter near the walking platform. There’s a switch on the other side. Direct Nix to activate it.
Moving the Tie Fighter out of the way clears the path ahead. Be cautious of an Imperial Droid monitoring the area. Hide behind the platform rails ahead to conceal yourself when it scans. To reach the first platform, search for a grapple-swing above you.
Follow the path ahead. To reach the next platform, walk on the door frame of the left blocked door. Swing to the grated yellow wall on the other side and then climb to the right. Search for yellow climb points.
One final gap stands between Kay and the Data Vault. Deal with the Stormtrooper up ahead, swing over with the overhead grapple, and enter the Data Vault to sabotage the debt records.
Make sure to open the chest near the entrance inside. It contains a “Blaster Recirculator” – Blaster Material. Note that this chest is not considered one of the Fuel Station Visavis Treasure Collectibles. Use the computer to begin the story cinematics, meeting the bookkeeper “Bosnok” and facing a choice: Frame the Pykes or Crimson Dawn? Your decision holds weight, so choose wisely!
7. Activate Bosnok’s Sled
Bosnok is an imperial prisoner and Kay will help him flee. He’s already prepared a sled that helps him move the stuff around. To activate Bosnok’s Sled, exit the Data Vault through the big door, move down the staircase, take care of the Stormtrooper and instantly turn right, where you can drop down to the ground floor of the Tie Fighter Hangar.
From here, sneak to Bosknok’s Sled, activate it, and use it for cover to reach the next power shield passage. Drop the shield at the computer terminal in the adjacent control room.
Bosnok’s sled moves forward to the next section. Use it for cover to bypass the Stormtroopers. The following door is shut again! Just like last time, there’s a computer terminal in the adjacent room. Deal with the Imperial Officer in front of it and operate the computer. Kay accidentally presses the wrong button, sending Bosnok down with a cargo elevator.
Leave the room via the other door and locate a grapple point leading downward. Look up at the dark platform to spot an open ventilator shaft for reaching Bosnok. On arrival, you’ll find Imperial Troops confronting Bosnok on his sled. Take a more assertive approach, using your plaster to resolve the situation without them raising the alarm.
At the end of the battle, Kay emerges victorious but faces a red power shield hindering their path to freedom. Locate the power core and shoot it to deactivate the shields.
Sneak through the now open vent nearby, and climb a ladder to reach another control room with a computer terminal. Interact with it to learn that the cargo requires authorization. Kay leaves to override the cargo authorization through the next door. Climb up a ladder to reach another imperial corridor. Don’t panic and just hide behind the boxes, when Stormtroopers run towards you. They will pass without issue. Enter the control room to the left.
At the computer in this control room, you have the options to activate the “Evacuation Protocol” and “Approve Cargo Shipment.” Bosnok is currently moving to the Trailblazer’s Hangar. Leave the control room through the next door and descend using the ladder in the following room. Access another door from there to reach the hangar door that requires splicing.
When the door opens, the Stormtroopers notice you. Battle them until Waka lowers the cargo ramp. Once he does, make a run for safety!
8. Escaping and Returning to Toshara
The Trailblazer starts into space. Head straight to the next quest marker, the Debris Field. There, take out the Tie Fighters that chase the Trail Blazer, then approach the Imperial Comms Relay to clear the wanted status.
You can now head towards Toshara to land in Mirogana City and complete the quest. I chose Crimson Dawn and pinned it on the Pykes. The quest’s conclusion will vary based on if you have pinned it on the Crimson Dawn instead.
