Crimson Desert: Tales of the Calphadean Residents Quests

How to Get the Questline

To receive the Tales of the Calphadean Residents questline in the Hernand Commissions, you first have to advance in the story quest until you have liberated the Calphadean Territory in Chapter 6: Cracks in the Shield.

There are four Calphadean residents who need your help.

Securing a Shelter

Description:
“A person is worried that war might break out.”

Talk to the man in the chicken coop behind the Street Vendor in front of the Thalwynd tavern. Listen to his request: After a couple of nightmares, he needs to prepare for the worst. He wants you to check out a nearby cave.

Ride to the Deepfog Basin Mistwind Cavern east of Calphade Castle. You have to enter and discover what’s inside. Then the cave is ticked off as discovered on the game map. If you have already been there, it will count as discovered, and you can talk to the man again to finish the quest.

Surprise Gift

Description:
“A man has asked to deliver a basket of flowers to his wife.”

There is a man standing near the Thalwynd market bonfire who needs your help. The flowers will be more special when a Greymane is gifting them to her.

Deliver the flower basket to the man’s wife. She’s north of the Church of Calphade, working at a tavern.

Empty Donation Box

Description:
“A contribution was added to the donation Box. The small donation will provide help to those who visit the church.”

Talk to the priest in front of the Church of Calphade and ask him about his request. He needs 500 coins for his church.

Enter the church and interact with the Donation Box. Donate 500 coins from your camp coin stash. Donating money will raise your church influence in the region. Return to the priest outside to tell him the good news.

Material of Light

Description:
“Lauendell from Calphade dyehouse is running low on dyes and needs assistance.”

Talk to the Dyer in the south of the Calphadean territory to start this quest.

He needs 3x Satintail Roots and is sending you to the Scholastone Research Institute region. The Satintail Roots are long, green sticks with a fluffy white top, growing in the western Institute garden. Pick at least three and return to the dyer to hand them over.
