Lars’s Request is a Greymane quest in Crimson Desert, unlocked after completing A Rumor in the Calphade Gate. Lars, who can be found near the main tent at Howling Hill, needs a specific item for fishing bait – but finding it isn’t immediately obvious. This guide covers where to find Lars and where the quest marker leads you to collect what he needs, including map locations.

Starting the Quest
Complete A Rumor in the Calphade Gate to find Lars together with Joseph, Gerald, and Vernon.
Quest description:
“Lars asked for a jewel beetle to use as fishing bait.”
Talk to Lars
Lars is near the main tent, looking for something.
Catch 3 Jewel Beetles
Lars wants three Jewel Beetles. I caught them randomly before, but it never occurred to me that they could be found at a fixed place.
The quest marker is sending you to the west, to a point where the river bends to the south. There is a small forest with a pine mushroom patch in the center. The Jewel Beetles are sitting on the pine mushrooms and in the trees around them.
Hand Over the Jewel Beetles
Return to Lars and hand over the Jewel Beetles.
