Crimson Desert: Golden News from Yann Questline

Starting the Questline

To unlock the “Golden News from Yann” questline in the Greymanes -> Scattered Embers quest tree, you first have to complete the Riding with Pride questline and Brice’s Request, where Brice wants you to build a wagon for Howling Hill.

Quest description:
“Yann is making a fuss over a chance to make a fortune. Hear him out and find out what he’s plotting.”

Scent of Gold

Yann is waiting near the Howling Hill entrance after you complete Brice’s Request. Talk to him to hear about his plan and kick off the questline. He wants you to fetch the wagon from Brice first.

1 – Talk to Yann

After completing Brice’s Request, Yann will wait near the Howling Hill Entrance. He wants you to fetch the wagon

Wagon Stuck in the Mud

With the wagon ready, pick up Yann at the same spot and drive toward the Goldleaf Guildhouse. Along the way, you’ll find a straw-loaded wagon stuck in the water – get off and push it to shore until it reaches the marked area, then continue to the Goldleaf Merchant Guild.

1 – Get on the Wagon

Return to Howling Hill and talk to Brice. In the workshop, you can select a wagon. You will spawn on the wagon.

2 – Go to the Location Yann Mentioned

Just pick him up where you met him before.

Drive towards the nearby Goldleaf Guildhouse, to those muddy ponds along the way.

Get off the wagon at the destination and follow Yann on foot. At the destination is a wagon loaded with straw that needs to be pushed out of the water (orange dot on the minimap). Lean against it to push it to shore. Push it until you’ve reached the orange area on the minimap.

3 – Head to the Goldleaf Merchant Guild

Return to your wagon and drive to the nearby Goldleaf Merchant Guild.

A Sack of Black Pepper

Now at the Goldleaf Merchant Guild, buy 25 Black Pepper from Ugmon. You’ll need enough camp money to cover it – if you’re short, send companions on Protection jobs to earn some first. Then pick up Yann at the Notice Board and make the long ride northeast to the Golden Trading Post in Demeniss to sell it.

1 – Buy 25 Black Pepper

Buy 25 black pepper from the Goldleaf Merchant Guild. As Yann suggested, selling it in Demeniss might lead to a fortune. Talk to Ugmon to buy the black pepper. To buy the pepper, you will need sufficient camp money. If you don’t have it, send companions out to earn some. Protection jobs earn money.

2 – Go to Demeniss Branch

Ride your wagon and exit the Goldleaf Guildhouse. Pick up Yann at the Notice Board.

The Demeniss Branch is in the far northeast of the map. It is going to be a long ride. A couple of shifty backroads later, I finally arrived at the Golden Trading Post in Demeniss. Drive to the maker, get off the wagon, and talk to the trader.

3 – Sell 25 Black Pepper

Sell the 25 Black Pepper at the Golden Trading Post in Demeniss.

Gold Made from Black Pepper

After selling the pepper, Yann is waiting by the now-empty wagon. Talk to him to wrap up the questline and collect your reward of 500 Camp Coins and 3x Pepper.
