Crimson Desert: Below the Banners Questline Walkthrough

#1 – Cradle of Defense

Below the Banners is the first questline in the battlefield. Here you have to raise banners, support soldiers, and destroy the enemy’s supply wagons.

Description:
“The villages of southern Calphade are the cradle of the city’s survival. Reclaim this vital land from the enemy’s clutches.”

Raise the Banner Pike at the Siege Armory

The Banner Pike at the Siege Armory is the southernmost part of the battlefield and the closest to where you start. Fight your way through, following the path towards the northwest. The banner has dropped further away from the slot than I would have thought. The banner slot is up a wooden staircase ahead (in the screenshot, it is in the far distance).

Carry the banner with “Nature’s Grasp” and carry it to the slot. Use your lantern to get the “Plant” prompt to place the banner into the slot.

Note:
Carrying a banner this heavy uses Stamina. You may have to drop it, recharge, and lift it up a couple of times. Also note that you can use the banner to fight off enemies – if you have enough stamina.

Raise the Banner Pike at the Gunpowder Mill

The Gunpowder Mill is just north of the Deepfog Basin. Same as with the previous banner, you have to carry it a bit to the north. Don’t forget to use the lantern by the slot to get the “Plant” prompt.

Raise the Banner Pike at Thalwynd

The Thalwynd banner is below the Banner Slot, next to one of the supply wagons that need to be destroyed. Carry the banner to the slot. Don’t forget to use the lantern to find the “Plant” prompt. Note:
The wooden towers can be destroyed with a Charged Shot.

#2 – Hand of Deliverance

Description:
“Find the Calphadean defenders at their outpost and help with their preparations to reclaim Calphade.”

Open your inventory and read Celeste’s Confidential Letter.

Speak with the Soldier at the Southern Guard Post

I raised the banner at the Siege Armory, then went to the west to speak with the Soldier. There is an Abyss Nexus fast-travel platform near the Southern Guard Post. The soldier you need to talk to is by a red tent, helping another soldier.

Find the Soldier in Need of Help

I first went to raise the banner at Gunpowder Mill before I headed out to find the Soldier in Need of Help. He’s at the Calphade Southern Depot, just below the castle.

He’s at the back of the southern depot camp. Free the captured soldiers to get their help. Pick up the soldier and take him back to the Southern Guard Post to rescue him. You can ride your horse as well. Rescuing this soldier will complete the quest.

#3 – Fire on the Frontlines

Description:
“Cutting the enemy’s supply lines is crucial to drive back the forces that have forced their way deep into allied territory. Seek out and destroy the enemy’s supplies.”

Destroy the Enemy’s Supply Wagons

The Supply Wagons are at Thalwynd in the village at the center of the battlefield. To destroy them, light an arrow by a nearby fire and shoot it at the wagon. The second wagon is by the banner. The third wagon is inside the church.

Btw, the church has a bell and a treasure chest in the tower.

Note:
Both the wagons and the annoying towers in this area can be destroyed with a Charged Shot!
