Chapter 3: Homestead Overview

This is the last quest of six in the “Homestead” story block in Chapter 3.

Completing these six quests will lead to the second story block: “The Face behind the Mask”.

Starting the Quest

This quest starts after fetching Marius from The Scrapfold and reuniting with Carl and Ross at Howling Hill in “Return of the Comrade”.

Quest Description:
“Rumor is there’s a Greymane who caused a rampage at St. Halssius’s House of Healing. Head to St. Halssius’s House of Healing.”

Investigate the House of Healing

To get to the House of Healing, follow the road past the Bloomwood Ranch and the Nas River Fishing Dock towards the east. If you want to prevent having to return to Hernand for a St. Halssius Visitor Pass, go to the church first.

You will ride past Timberturner Wainwrite, and going uphill, reach the St. Halssius’s House of Healing. Keep going to the east to reach the first of three quest markers. Talk to the Stranger near Halssius Trading Post, right in front of the bridge, where guards will tell you that you can’t go any further.

Return to Hernand and enter the church. Buy the St. Halssius Visitor Pass for 10 silver.

Return to the bridge near Halssius Trading Post, where you can now pass.

Talk to the House of Healing Guard standing on the southern side of the building – where the smaller quest marker is. You can buy a Halssius outfit from him for 10 silver. Once you wear it, you can walk around freely.

You will receive:
-> St. Halssius Priest Attire
-> St. Halssius Priest’s Cloak
-> St. Halssius Priest’s Hat
-> St. Halssius Priest’s Leather Footwear

I went for the disguise, put all four pieces of gear on, and walked up to the big, main quest marker. You will find the Greymane on the top floor of the building near a prison cell.

It’s Yann. Follow him after the cutscene. The guards will turn hostile, but they will be preoccupied with the patients; there’s no need to get involved. Yann will guide you to a house, where he will beat up another guard and fetch his gear.

Now you can put your gear back on and keep following Yann until he boards a cart. Get on as well and ride to the Nas River Fishing Dock with him.

This will complete the Quest and the “Homestead” Quest Cluster. And The Face Behind the Mask -> Return begins.
