In Crimson Desert, the “A Rumor at Hook Rapids” quest continues the Gathered Will storyline after upgrading your camp during Embers of Return. This short objective focuses on tracking a Greymane lead near Hook Rapids, just north of Hernand.
This walkthrough shows how to start the quest, where to find Duane at Frowde Camp, and how to follow the rumor to Hook Rapids Hearth to meet Ryan and Balder. It also lists the rewards you receive upon completion.

Starting the Quest
At the end of the questline “Embers of Return,” you get to upgrade the camp for the second time to make room for more comrades to move in if they are found. This triggers the questline “Gathered Will”, where Marius has News of Comrades next to the main tent.
Quest description:
“Marius has important word about your comrades.”
Listen to the Rumor about the Greymanes
Talk to Marius at the main tent to find out about another Greymane location rumor.
Look into the Rumor
This time, the rumor is taking you to Hook Rapids, which is just north of Hernand town and Karin Quarry. There is a small Hernand camp, Frowde Camp. Duane will be there, and you can talk to him. Turns out he was chasing the same rumor.
Follow Duane on horseback. The next stop is just around the corner, Hook Rapids Hearth, where you find Ryan and Balder.
