The Bad Call -True Cleaner Mode in Crime Scene Cleaner strips out the dirt scanner and furniture placement hints from the standard mission, so clearing every room, disposing of the bodies, and restoring the Dealer’s Apartment comes down to careful observation rather than glowing prompts.
This guide covers the complete True Cleaner Mode walkthrough: all body locations, all 9 pieces of evidence, every furniture placement, and the exact dirt locations across the apartment, with screenshots so you can hit 100% without in-game assistance.

In True Cleaner Mode you lose the dirt scan and furniture placement assist, though the mop and detergent upgrades still work, and trash still glows while you’re carrying the bin. Your job is to focus on the bodies, evidence, furniture, and dirt. This guide skips the stealing side content entirely. All tasks take place inside the Dealer’s Apartment.
Two rules to keep in mind:
avoid smashing anything, since you’ll be the one cleaning it up, and watch your footprints so you’re not leaving fresh tracks behind you.
Dealer’s Apartment
Enter the apartment complex and head to the closed door of the Dealer’s Apartment. The key is on the metal rack to the right of the door.
Initial Checklist
After entering, your first checklist appears:
collect 5 evidence,
move 20 furniture pieces back to their places,
get rid of the trash, and wipe all the dirt.
1 – Foyer
Foyer Dirt
dirt stains the foyer floor, with footsteps trailing toward the exit and splashes of dirt continuing down the corridor.
2 – Corridor
Corridor Dirt
A heavy patch of dirt sits in the center of the corridor, with footprints leading to the Bathroom and a footprint on the Bathroom door itself. There’s also a significant amount of dirt on the right wall next to the window.
3 – Bathroom
Bathroom Dirt
A footprint marks the Bathroom door, with dirt on the floor and in and around the sink.
4 – Lounge
The Lounge is in disarray, with stains across the floor, walls, and ceiling and furniture scattered everywhere. Clean items with the sponge before mopping to avoid moving them around unnecessarily, and if furniture can’t go back right away, set it in a clean corner for temporary storage.
Lounge Evidence – 1 Present
A flip phone on the floor is logged as the Dealer’s Phone.
Lounge Furniture – 17 To Move
Couch with 6 White Cushions, 4 to Move:
The couch needs 6 white cushions restored, with 2 already correctly placed, 3 loose in the Lounge, and 1 in the Bonsai Room.
Big, Round Wooden Table
The big round wooden table in the corner slides back into place once it’s clean and unobstructed.
2 Wooden Chairs, 4 Green Cushions:
2 wooden chairs sit left and right of that table, with 4 green cushions (present in the lounge) split between them.
Small, Round Wooden Table:
A small round wooden table goes on the left side of the white-cushioned couch.
Guitar
The guitar is placed to the left of the TV cabinet.
3x Paintings on the Wall
3 paintings on the wall need cleaning before they go back up.
Lounge Dirt
footprints trail from one corner of the Lounge toward the corridor. Most of the dirt sits in the far corner, with splatter on the walls and a small amount reaching the corner of the ceiling.
5 – Bonsai Room
The Bonsai Room features a circular zebra-patterned carpet and a white round table with a bonsai tree. This is where the garbage can comes into play, glowing trash light green while you’re holding it. Use the sponge on the carpets and wipe the handprints from the white table.
Bonsai Room Evidence – 1 Present
A phone on top of the cabinet is logged as Phone
Bonsai Room Furniture – 2 To Move
Stereo Box
Clean the Stereo Box thoroughly before placing it in the corner next to the cabinet.
Red-Yellow-Green Bong
The red-yellow-green bong on the floor goes back onto the round center table.
Bonsai Room Dirt
The window area looks clean at a glance, but footprints lead straight to one of the Lounge couch cushions. A noticeable amount of dirt covers the round center table, the stereo, and the center cabinet, with dirt also visible on the wall divider leading to the Lounge.

Small Shelf next to the window
The small shelf next to the window slides back into its place.
Kitchen Dirt
Most of the dirt has built up on the kitchen floor, with a significant amount on the lower half of the Backroom door and two handprints on the broken shelf.
7 – Backroom
The Backroom has an access door to the Attic. Opening it reveals another body, and at this point the checklist updates from 1 to 3 bodies and from 5 to 9 evidence.
Backroom Person – 1 Present
Open the attic door for the second person to fall down.
Backroom Evidence – 1 Present
Money on the table is logged as Cash.

Access the Attic via the staircase in the Backroom, where you’ll find three rooms total.
Attic #1 Evidence – 2 Present
Two sets of photos sit on the pinboard wall.
Attic #1 Dirt
Coming up from the Backroom, dirt covers the floor between the entrance and the center pillar, with most of the pillar itself covered too.
9 – Attic #3
Walk through the room with the marijuana plants to reach the final attic room, where the key scene plays out and the third body sits surrounded by five unsettling paintings.
Attic #3 Person – 1 Present
The body is in the center of the room, in front of the canvas.
Attic #3 Evidence – 2 Present
1
A Polaroid camera sits next to the TV on the table.
