All Ogouchi Buffer Zone Keys: Red, Blue and Yellow Key Locations

The Red Key

Location

You will receive the Red Key from the Gatekeeper near the Nushi’s Lair: Gate Approach campsite. Once Emma approaches the gate, she will receive the Key with the hints, where to find the other two keys.

Where the Key is used

Apart from the gate leading to the Nushi’s Lair, this key also opens a door in the Abandoned Village leading to a Strongbox.

The Blue Key

Location

The Blue Key is at the Lookout Shack, northeast of the Subcity 03 entrance. You will see a red pillar in the distance marking the key’s location.

Where the Key is Used

Apart from the gate leading to the Nushi’s Lair, this key also opens a door next to the warehouse east of the River Fork campsite. Follow the story quest to receive it, then return to open the door to loot the strongbox behind it.

The Yellow Key

Location

For the Yellow Key, you have to enter the cave north of Tailwater Village to fight a beast. It will drop the Tailwater Key.

Open the door inside the cave with the Tailwater Key and talk to the guardian in the room behind it to receive the Yellow Key.

Where the Key is Used

Apart from the gate leading to the Nushi’s Lair, this key also opens the locked door for Strongbox 8 in the locked building north of the river.

Yellow Key Backstory

If you like lore, there is a document from the golem who once carried the yellow key. Find it at Subcity 02 in the back room.

Using all Three Keys

Return to the Nushi’s Lair: Gate Approach campsite and use the three keys at the door to fight the Nushi in the story. Before you do that, make sure to finish everything in this zone that you need to otherwise you will move on to the next.
