The “A Snake in the Garden” Mystery in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle begins when you pick up a “Bookcase Note” on the desk in the green room on the top level of the Apostolic Palace. Completing the Mystery will grant you 100 Adventure Points.
Bookcase Note:
“Message in Italian concerning a change to Ventura’s bookcase.”
There seems to be something special about Ventura’s bookcase. Should be worth investigating…
A Snake in the Garden – The Bookcase
Before starting to look for a bookcase, let’s have a proper look at this Bookcase Note. Investigate it in the in-game journal and you will see that there is something written at the back:
“Francorum” with a crown symbol
“Logicae” with a triangle symbol
“QDV” with a star symbol
“Philosophiae” with a circle symbol
On the lowest shelf of the nearby bookcase, there are four books with those three symbols. As the note says, the books have to be pulled alphabetically.
Therefore in this order Crown, Triangle, Circle, and Star.
This will open a secret compartment with 120£ and the second note: Mussolini’s Letter.
Letter Description:
“Letter to Ventura written by Italy’s dictator himself.”
Before you leave, take a photograph of the Dragon Statue for the Field Notes Discoveries quest and look for a nearby Medicine Bottle for the “A Remedy for All” Quest.
