Outcast A New Beginning: Herding on the Prairie! Walkthrough

1 – Talk to Hiron the Village Chief

Location: Village market in the center of Bidaa

Before you start the quest, repair the Daoka fast-travel gate at Bidaa. The Daoka Core you need is at the nearby outpost.

Hiron is at the village market in the center of Bidaa. Talk to him about everything he knows, especially the Bon-Bars and Lampé.

2 – Talk to Ozak about Bon-Bars

Location: Bon-Bar pen near the center of Bidaa

Ozak is at the Bon-Bar pen, not far from the center of Bidaa. Talk to him about everything he offers.

3 – Herd Bon-Bars

Location: Around the Bon-Bar pen in Bidaa

Ozak asks you to herd the Bon-Bars, the cows of Bidaa, back into the pen. Approach each Bon-Bar from behind while you face the pen to push it in that direction.

It takes some practice and can be a bit frustrating. Once the Bon-Bars are back in the pen, the Bon-Bar part of the quest is done.

4 – Talk to Marzo about Lampé

Location: Base of the mill in Bidaa

Marzo is the head Lampé brewer of Bidaa. You find him at the base of the mill. Talk to him about everything he offers.

5 – Talk to Mirko about Lampé Ingredients

Location: Near the mill in the center of Bidaa

Mirko is Marzo’s son. Talk to him about everything he has to offer. This starts the Lampé for Everyone! Village Quest.

Before you continue: Herding on the Prairie! pauses here. Finish Lampé for Everyone! first. Then select the Earthshaking Drills subquest in Say Goodbye to Garondaphobia! and destroy one of the drills. After that, you can continue with Herding on the Prairie!

6 – Talk to Torga about Garondaphobia

Location: Bidaa

Once the brewery is stocked with Lampé again, the quest continues. Talk to Torga, the Shamaz of Bidaa, about Garondaphobia. He tells you that the Garondar do not like Lampé.

7 – Talk to Ozak about the Lampé Experiment

Location: Bon-Bar pen in Bidaa

Go back to Ozak at the Bon-Bar pen. He is happy to take part in the Lampé experiment.

8 – Treat Bon-Bars

Location: Pool of Lampé

Just like in step 3, you herd Bon-Bars again, this time into the pool of Lampé. Only three Bon-Bars need treating.

At the end, Krakits attack. Defeat them to complete Herding on the Prairie!

What Happens Next

With Herding on the Prairie! done, talk to Mirko again to continue Say Goodbye to Garondaphobia! This unlocks the step to craft the Garondar Beacon for Bidaa.
