Outcast A New Beginning: Bon Appetit, Baby! Walkthrough

1 – Talk to Morr about Hazo

Location: Emea

Select Bon Appetit, Baby! in the Emea Village quest screen to make it active, then follow the minimap marker to Morr. He tells you that the village of Sappa has been very successful at training its Ventilopes, and that is where your search starts.

2 – Search Sappa for a Ventilope Tamer

Location: Sappa, in the southeast of the map

Travel to Sappa. It is a long way if you have not unlocked many Daoka fast-travel gates yet. The search area on the minimap is big, so ask the villagers. Anyone with the topic Ventilopes tells you that Dolotai Guardians, fishertalans and members of the Ventilope Club ride them.

Next, look for speech bubbles on your minimap. One of them is Barram, a fishertalan (fisherman) at the beach near the boats. He is easy to spot with the fish on top of his hat. Ask him all available questions.

Good to know: this part of the quest overlaps with the Sappa Village Quest A Ventilope for Everything, so you progress both at the same time.

3 – Find Clues about the Missing Tamer

Location: Zaleb in his hut in Sappa

Barram sends you to Zaleb, the healer of Sappa. According to Barram, Zaleb once even healed a Gamor. You find him in one of the huts in the village.

4 – Kill Gamors

Location: Inside the blue circle on the minimap

Zaleb sends you off to kill Gamors, wild and vicious dog-like creatures. Follow the marker to the area. There are two types: an armored one and an unarmored one. The armored Gamors can only be killed with melee attacks. Kill every Gamor inside the blue circle on the minimap.

5 – Talk to Zaleb about Yunair’s Disappearance

Location: Zaleb in his hut in Sappa

Return to Zaleb in Sappa and ask him about Yunair’s disappearance. Yunair is the Ventilope tamer you are looking for.

6 – Find Yunair

Location: SAP-0 Prison Base, southeastern tip of the map

Yunair is a prisoner at the SAP-0 Prison Base. This is also one of the bases where you destroy the generator so Kizaar can get to the Helidium, so it is worth doing both while you are there. There are 4 terminals in total: 3 of them free Yunair and destroy the generator, and the fourth one only opens a locked office.

Terminal 1

Terminal 1 is outside on the ground floor, right next to a building entrance.

Terminal 2

Enter the building through the entrance next to Terminal 1 and take the staircase up. Turn right at the top of the stairs to find Terminal 2.

Terminal 3 and the Generator

Stay on this level and cross the skybridge to the other building. There you pass a locked office that needs all 4 terminals, with two green ticks and two red crosses on the door. Head downstairs to the generator room.

Terminal 3 is right next to the generator. Deactivate it to expose the generator core, then shoot the core to destroy it. This also deactivates the last terminal you need to free Yunair.

Free Yunair

Go back to the building with Terminal 2. Yunair is on the ground floor, behind the wall next to the exit, and his cell can now be opened.

Optional: Terminal 4 and the Locked Office

To open the office above the generator room, you need the fourth terminal. Leave the prison cell building and take the staircase up to the roof of the generator building. Terminal 4 is up there. Once you use it, the office opens.

7 – Talk to Yunair about Emea’s Need for Ventilopes

Location: The beach in Sappa

Return to Sappa. A cutscene of Yunair coming home plays as soon as you get close to the village, but you still have to find him at the beach and talk to him. Ask him about Ventilope Watering.

8 – Lure Female Ventilope

Location: Follow the blue minimap marker

Follow the marker to an orange larva hole high up on a rock formation and shoot it. The female Ventilope flies over to eat the larvae. While she eats, move on to the next larva hole and shoot it too. The larva holes are highlighted one by one on the minimap, so keep repeating this until she reaches the village.

9 – Fetch some Ventilopes to Help Water the Kworts in Emea

Location: Yunair in Sappa, marked on the minimap

Talk to Yunair again to ask for Ventilopes for Emea. They will water the Kworts, the plants the Galenta eats. Yunair agrees, but not for free.

10 – Gather Makaari Feathers

Location: Makaari nests high up in a big tree northwest of Emea

Yunair wants 3 Makaari Feathers in return. The Makaari nest high up in a big tree northwest of Emea. The fastest way up is the big jump plants that catapult you into the air when you get close, so scan for them first.

The feathers are inside the nests and show up as squares on your screen when you scan. Collect 3 of them, then return to Yunair. He sends Ventilopes to Emea, and Bon Appetit, Baby! is complete.

What Happens Next

Bon Appetit, Baby! is the last Emea Village Quest. It follows Looking for a Galentasitter, and with Ventilopes in Emea to water the Kworts, the Emea quest line wraps up. If you are also playing A Ventilope for Everything in Sappa, you may already have done part of that quest here.
