Unity is the Constellation mission that follows High Price to Pay. Matteo thinks the word carries a hidden meaning for the Sanctum Universum, and chasing that idea leads through three New Atlantis factions to a locked room on Indum II and a glyph puzzle on Hyla II.
Quick note before you start: this is the main mission called Unity. It is not the Unity you walk into at the end of the game to begin New Game Plus. The two share a name and nothing else.

Starfield Unity Mission Overview
Questline: Constellation, main mission 12
Starts after: High Price to Pay, and it begins automatically once you talk to Matteo back at the Lodge
Location: New Atlantis on Jemison, then Indum II and Hyla II
Companion: Matteo Khatri tags along for the New Atlantis half
Objectives: talk to Keeper Aquilus, collect three versions of the Pilgrim story, land at Pilgrims Rest on Indum II, unlock the personal room, find the Scorpions Sting on Hyla II
Rewards: 800 XP
Unlocks next: In Their Footsteps
Nothing in Unity is affected by the choice you made in High Price to Pay. Whichever companion died, and whether you defended the Lodge or flew to the Eye, this mission runs the same. Almost all of it is conversation, so the only trouble you are likely to meet is in orbit on the way to Hyla II.
1 – Talk to Keeper Aquilus
Mission Text:
“Matteo believes the word “Unity” may have hidden meanings to the Sanctum Universum. We should talk to Keeper Aquilus at the Sanctum.”
Keeper Aquilus is standing outside the Sanctum Universum in the MAST District. If you are still in the Lodge, fast travel to the MAST District rather than walking, then head up the ramp and turn left. You will find him mid sermon with a small crowd around him. You can wait for him to finish or cut in, which ends the sermon and sends everyone away. Either works. Matteo then asks whether Unity was ever something secret.
2 – Enter the Sanctum, Talk to Keeper Aquilus
Mission Text:
“Matteo believes the word “Unity” may have hidden meanings to the Sanctum Universum. We should talk to Keeper Aquilus at the Sanctum.”
Follow Aquilus and Matteo inside and sit in the highlighted chair in his office. He tells you about a Pilgrim who walked every corner of the Settled Systems, and suggests you compare his account against the versions held by House Varuun and the House of Enlightenment. You can work through the dialogue options in any order. If Sarah is with you she will not like the answer that calls gravity a miracle, so pick something else if you are watching her affinity.
On a New Game Plus run there is an extra Starborn dialogue option in this conversation, which lets you cut the exchange short.
3 – Talk to the Va’ruun Prisoner
Mission Text:
“Keeper Aquilus believes there was a Pilgrim who kept the truth about “Unity” in a location hidden in stories told to the Sanctum Universum, the House of Enlightenment, and House Va’ruun.”
Take the train to the Spaceport and head into the UC Security office. The holding cells are right at the back. Talk to Mirza and hear her out. Her version of the story is about four battles and one hundred and twenty rotations, and those numbers come back later, so hold on to them.
4 – Talk to the House of Enlightenment
Mission Text:
“Keeper Aquilus believes there was a Pilgrim who kept the truth about “Unity” in a location hidden in stories told to the Sanctum Universum, the House of Enlightenment, and House Va’ruun.”
The House of Enlightenment is down in the Well. To get there, take the elevator behind Jemison Mercantile at the Spaceport.
It is the large building near the elevator. Head inside and talk to Andy Singh. He calls the Pilgrim the Drifter, and says the man kept coming back to questions about the Second Person.
That gives you all three clues: Infinitum addendum from Keeper Aquilus, Second from Andy Singh, and Four and One Hundred Twenty from Mirza.
5 – Return to Keeper Aquilus
Mission Text:
“I now have three clues to the Pilgrim’s final resting place. “Infinitum addendum”, “Second”, and “Four and One-Hundred Twenty.”
Head back to the Sanctum Universum and tell Aquilus what you found. He puts the three clues together and works them into a location, the second planet of the Indum system.
7 – Search for Clues on Unity and the Pilgrims Rest Computer Answers
Mission Text:
“I think I’ve found the resting place of the Pilgrim that Keeper Aquilus spoke about. I should look around and see if he’s left anything that tells me about Unity.”
Walk to the marked location and head into the main building.
The red books scattered around Pilgrims Rest are the Pilgrims Writings, and they are where the computer gets its questions from. Pick up the one in the first room.
There is another in the next room, on the table.
Then interact with the computer beside the locked door and choose Unlock Personal Room. You do not need to have read every book to get through this. The four answers are below.
QUESTION:
If you came seeking the right answers, you will know what question to ask.
ANSWER:
What is the Unity?
QUESTION:
I return your question with a question. If you have read my writings, what is the burden of people?
ANSWER:
People are necessary. But people are madness.
QUESTION:
Who is the most formidable opponent?
ANSWER:
Myself.
QUESTION:
Where does enduring contentment come from?
ANSWER:
In stopping. In embracing compassion.
8 – Search the Room
Mission Text:
“I think I’ve found the resting place of the Pilgrim that Keeper Aquilus spoke about. I should look around and see if he’s left anything that tells me about Unity.”
Inside the room there is one more red book on the table. This is the Pilgrims Final Writing, and it points you at Hyla II and something called the Scorpions Sting.
Before you leave, check the shelves near the cooking supplies for Trackers Primer 02. It is a skill magazine that gives a permanent five percent boost to EM weapon damage, and it is easy to walk past.
9 – Find the Scorpions Sting on Hyla II and Solve the Glyph Puzzle
Mission Text:
“On Hyla II, the island hides the scorpion, and the scorpion’s sting hides the truth.”
Hyla is east of Indum on the starmap and it is a long way, so expect several grav jumps. The route runs close to the Kryx system, which is Crimson Fleet territory, and if you are carrying Artifacts on your ship you can also get jumped by Starborn in orbit. Land at the Ancient Ruins on Hyla II.
The ruins sit on a small island, and the path from your landing site is linear, so just follow the marker until the ground opens out. The large mantis-like creatures wandering around are not hostile, so there is no need to open fire. At the end of the path you will find a beam of light shining down and a console asking for glyphs.
The console works like a d-pad. Each glyph nudges the beam of light in that direction, and the shape etched into the ground is the Scorpius constellation. You need the beam sitting on the single star at the tip of the tail. From the starting position, walk it left along the body of the scorpion, then drop it down onto that last star, as in the screenshot below.
If nothing happens when the beam looks right, it is almost always sitting between two points rather than on one. Nudge it one press further in the direction you were travelling and watch for the star itself to light up. The star lighting up is the confirmation, not the beam landing near it. If the console stops responding altogether, walk off the plate and step back on to reset it.
10 – Go to the Last Star of the Scorpius Constellation
Mission Text:
“The “scorpion” of Hyla is actually a statue of the Scorpius constellation. A light is shining through the point representing the star of Oborum.”
The star the beam lands on is Oborum, so set a course for Oborum Prime, southeast of Alpha Centauri on the starmap. Arriving there ends Unity and starts In Their Footsteps, where the Hunter is waiting for you.
