About West Fort Knot (F1)
Much like the UCA’s knot cities, the fort knots are residential centres that double as chiral network connection points.
Life is rather ordinary within their walls. They fulfil many of the roles of traditional cities, and offer a haven for people fleeing the ravages of the Death Stranding. Facilities for dealing with the outside world – chiral network terminals, equipment for accepting and dispatching cargo, and private rooms are located outside of the city walls, with porters never given a glimpse of what lies within.
As its numbering suggests, West Fort Knot (Fl) is the first fort knot in Australia that you will connect to the chiral network.
Administrator: Olivia Westbury

An APAC staff member involved with engineering at West Fort Knot (F1), Olivia is particularly interested in transportation and movement solutions.
The Death Stranding has made it very difficult for people to move around as they once did. Not only has the world’s transport infrastructure been largely destroyed, but timefall, BTs, and voidouts have made it dangerous to even step outside. While attempts are being made to connect people via the chiral network, some resources have to be transported physically from place to place, and there is a limit to how much porters can carry.
Olivia, therefore, pushed forward a plan to refurbish the monorail that had once connected West Fort Knot with its surrounding facilities and beyond. Chiral crystals were used to lighten the loads carried on the railway, which was reopened as the Westbury Monorail. With APAC support, it was soon brought up to operational speed and is now expected to play a major role in the reconstruction of the Australian continent.
Rewards: West Fort Knot (F1)
Each Knot City and Shelter has a five-star reward system, granting rewards and upgrades with every star reached. Gain more reputation by delivering goods. APAS firmware upgrades, bandwidth increases, and Material Allotment increases are granted with every star reward. Shelters additionally offer Sam a place to rest at the 5-Star level.

1-Star Reward
Floating Carrier Lv1

A floating tractor cart that travels largely unimpeded over rough terrain.
Carriers will automatically deploy when placed in the field, and can then be loaded with cargo and attached to Sam’s waist. Carriers use chiralium to float, and will expend a small amount of chiral crystals while in use.
Only two carriers can be joined together at once. Sam is also able to ride a carrier as a form of transport.
Main Quest Rewards
1 – Pickup Off-Roader

A delivery truck with a large carrying capacity that is capable ot traveling great distances.
Bigger pieces of cargo can be placed on the rear shelf, while a backpack and smaller pieces of cargo can be placed behind the seats. Both areas are covered by a roof, protecting the cargo from timefall and enemy attacks.
To allow large firearms and grenades to be used while inside the vehicle, its seats have been elevated and opened up. One-handed weapons can be used while driving.
For the benefit of users who wish to enhance and tailor their pickup off-roaders to suit their individual styles, the vehicle has been fitted with generic expansion units and weapon sockets that allow for customisation. Its security measures will not allow the use of unauthorised weapons.
Although the pickup off-roader has a large battery, it will drain very quickly when in water, so be careful. The battery will recharge automatically during sunny or cloudy weather. You can also recharge the battery by using a generator or storing the vehicle in a garage.
Electrical attacks will short-circuit the pickup off-roader, rendering it temporarily inoperable.
