In the Side Quest “Warding Off Evil,” Johann Parker asks Henry to forge a Protective Axe. To do this, you’ll need a nail, a horseshoe, and a coin. Here’s where to find them.
Where to Start “Warding off Evil”
The quest giver, Johann Parler, can be found on the top floor of The Emperor Charles Tavern, located in the western part of Kuttenberg Town. He wants Henry to find a Holy Nail, a Found Horseshoe and a Commemorative Coin to forge a Protective Axe.
Where to find the Holy Nail for “Warding off Evil”
You can find the Holy Nail for the Protective Axe near the northern Kuttenberg gate. Use the outer staircase to reach the house’s upper floor. Inside, you’ll find a ladder leading to the attic, where the Holy Nail is located.
Where to find the Horseshoe for “Warding off Evil”
Go to the tailor near the western Kuttenberg Gate. Enter through the first door before the shop entrance, then turn left into the room. Look for the door with a horseshoe hanging above it. Be careful, as the shop’s bodyguard and the Hired Hand patrol this area.
Where to find the Coin for “Warding off Evil”
For the Commemorate Coin, go to the “Hangman’s Halter” tavern in the southeast of Kuttenberg town. Inside the tavern, look for the door that leads to the basement. Go down the basement and search the wall that shows its bricks. Henry will remove the bricks when interacting with that wall. At the end, interact with the hole to find the coin.
How to Forge the Protective Axe
Go to any Smithy, interact with the anvil, and select “Protective Axe” to begin crafting. The process is the same as crafting any other axe.
Handing in the Protective Axe
Return to the quest giver, Johann Parler at the top floor of The Emperor Charles Tavern to hand in the axe and finish the quest.
