About the Inventor
The Inventor lives on the island north of West Fort Knot (F1) and the Mine. To reach this location, you first have to repair the Monorail between the Mine and F2 South Distribution Centre. You can then board the monorail and jump off it when you’re just above the Inventor. Make sure to take some cargo from the nearby shore with you to deliver.
Administrator: The Inventor

Here’s what the Inventor has to say about his profession:
“Inventions don’t appear out of nowhere. They come about by adding a little dash of inspiration to a whole lot of work that has come before – an enormous pile of your predecessors’ successes and failures. Human history is a story of trial and error. So while some people may look at my inventions and think they look familiar, they simply don’t know what they’re talking about. People who say I’m a rip-off merchant need to take a good look at themselves.”
“Even the most celebrated inventors aren’t gods, weaving new creations out of thin air. Everyone follows a path that has been trodden by others, making use of their wisdom in an attempt to break new ground.”
“l hope you can see that my inventions are crafted with enormous respect for what’s come before. But there’s a limit to what I can achieve stuck inside this shelter. I’m missing out on the wisdom of what’s come before, and I’m becoming less aware of other people’s needs. Here’s hoping the chiral network can take my inventions to dizzy new heights.”
Rewards: The Inventor
Each Knot City and Shelter has a five-star reward system, granting rewards and upgrades with every star reached. Gain more reputation by delivering goods. APAS firmware upgrades, bandwidth increases, and Material Allotment increases are granted with every star reward. Shelters additionally offer Sam a place to rest at the 5-Star level.
1-Star Reward
Otter Hood – Hat

A hood shaped like an otter, and designed using all of the Inventor’s intelligence and know-how. Wearing the hood makes you feel like an otter, greatly improving your swimming abilities. When equipped, Sam will automatically pull the hood over his head during periods of timefall or while swimming.
2-Star Reward
Electromagnetic Stun Bomb

A hand-thrown weapon that emits an electrical charge on impact. It inflicts non-lethal damage on humans and temporarily disables vehicles.
Stun bombs will affect a larger area if triggered in water. They have no effect against BTs.
3-Star Reward
Remote Stun Bomb

A remotely operated hand-thrown weapon that emits an electrical charge when triggered. It inflicts non-lethal damage on humans and temporarily disables vehicles.
Stun bombs will affect a larger area if triggered in water. They have no effect against BTs.
4-Star Reward
Bola Stun Gun

A firearm that launches electrically charged binding wires capable of restraining enemies. Unlike the ordinary bola gun, these wires deliver a powerful shock to targets, rendering them unconscious.
Additionally, the fibres that form the binding wires have been inlaid with a compound that renders them effective against BTs.
Holding down the trigger will increase the weapon’s firing range, allowing for more precise aiming. The bola stun gun makes no noise when fired and will silently neutralise targets. The wires cannot bind a target if they strike an obstacle mid-flight.
5-Star Rewards
1 – Custom Hologram: The Inventor

A Hologram of the Inventor can now be selected under any Structure Customisation.
2 – Patch 63: Otter Hood

A 1×1 backpack patch that allows the wearer to express their individuality. Serves as proof that you have reached the maximum connection level with the Inventor.
