About the Government’s Base
Administrator: Old Oz

In the aftermath of the Death Stranding, many survivors in Australia wanted to rebuild their nation, just as in the USA. Those who had been involved in pre-Stranding politics assumed the role of an interim government in order to lead the rebuilding efforts, but they have not yet realised their dream.
At some point, the group became known as the Government, and Old O became their leader. Before long, however, he was struck down by a case of chiral contamination, causing him to frequently hallucinate that he is living in a rebuilt Australia. Waking from these hallucinations and realising that he is still in the desolate wasteland of post-Stranding Australia is a source of regular and profound anguish for him.
Despite this, Old Oz is desperate to overcome the contamination and intends to devote the rest of his life to fulfilling his dream and rebuilding his country.
Rewards: The Government’s Base
Each Knot City and Shelter has a five-star reward system, granting rewards and upgrades with every star reached. Gain more reputation by delivering goods. APAS firmware upgrades, bandwidth increases, and Material Allotment increases are granted with every star reward. Shelters additionally offer Sam a place to rest at the 5-Star level.

2-Star Reward
Bola Gun

A gun that launches binding wires capable of restraining targets. Their fibres have been processed to be effective against BTs.
Holding down the trigger will increase the weapon’s firing range, allowing for more precise aiming. The bola gun makes very little noise when fired, allowing for stealthy takedowns. The wires cannot bind a target if they strike an obstacle mid-flight.
