Description

Weakened, Styx begins to feel the strain. The Flux grows louder in his mind, and Wren delivers a dire warning: the unnatural surge of Quartz signals a deeper imbalance in the world. But destroying it may be the only solution. Unwilling to stop, Styx hides the first signs of crystallization on his body – and keeps going.

The Trilock Freight Wagon

“A Quartz chunk, sealed in a wagon, waits to board the Inquisition’s Zeppelin. Of course, timetables don’t always account for thieves.”

This shard hunt starts at the bottom of the garrison. The Fast Travel Point to start this is Zeppelin’s docks, Wall Fortress. The Quartz Shard is inside a mining cart on tracks just by the shop on ground floor.

There are two levers just above the quartz cart that didn’t have any effect in the previous missions but now they work and have to be used. Unfortunately, there is a big guard standing there just staring at things, doing nothing. Use your abilities to get rid of him to freely access the levers. Note: That there is a locked gate down below that will block a vertical row of carts to move. So you need to go down to open this gate.

Now you can head down to the dual levers and pull the one to the right. This will move two horizontal cart rows to the left. Now, pull the left lever to move the vertical carts. The Quartz cart is still blocked by the horizontal cart row.

Move the carts so the Quartz cart is not blocked. To finally place it in front of the Zeppelin entrance. Follow the cart interact with it. This will give you a waypoint to spy on the guards on how to open the Quartz cart.

Crouch into the crawlspace at the office where the guard is standing on the ground level. Styx finds out, there there are tree keys needed to open the Quartz cage.
-> Key 1: Is in the cockpit of the big Zeppelin.

-> Key 2: Is in the cockpit of the the Zeppelin that is docked just above the Zeppelin docks Fast Travel Point.
-> Key 3: Is on the second floor of the loading tunnel at the Zeppelin Docks. Use the grapple point behind the room with the key to get better access.

You can now open the safe and absorb the Quartz.

The Last Piece of Korrangar

“A Chunk taken from the fall of Korrangar now sits untouched in dark elf hands – less a relic, more a reminder. And the last piece always draws the wrong kind of attention.”

1 – Unlocking the Devastaded Embassy Balloon

The Quartz shard is at the Devastated Embassy. If you don’t have this fast travel point yet, return to the Broken Belfry, the Fast Travel point near the previous Quartz shard’s Zeppelin Dock. You can now use the Glider to reach the upper central ruins and keep climbing from there.

Glide and make use of the wind to reach the upper balcony.

Be aware that there are also invisible Goblins in this area. Seek higher ground first to get an overview. Climb up to the next level to the left of the entrance. The target location at first are the two solid grapple points on the other side of the room. To reach those, get past the group of Goblins to the left and climb up the wall to the left to reach the ledge above.

You can now reach the two grapple ledges on the other side of the room. Turn around and you can see the top floor of this room. This is the balloon level. Sneak past the corrupted Dark Elves and defeat 5 Goblins near the balloon dock to unlock the Balloon.

2 – How to Reach the Chunk of Quartz

Stay on the Balloon dock. Across from the Balloon dock, you can see a plateau with bugs. That’s where you need to go first. There is a grapple point if you can’t make it with a glide. Cross this bug plateau to the other side. Here you can access ruins with corrupted Dark Elves.

Cross the Corrupted Dark Elves area to a Dark Elf Dock. There is a grapple point just above you at the abyss between the Corrupted Dark Elves and the Dark Elf Dock. Head to the dock at the other side, where you can grapple across to the Devastated Embassy building.

Here you can open the metal gate to get easier access to the Balloon area. Use one of the overhead grapple points here to cross over to the Quartz shard.

3 – How to Open the Quartz shard

Spy on the marked spot. You will now have to find two levers. The first one I went for is back in the Balloon area. Here, you can see the lever when looking down from above. It’s in the mother bug’s nest. This is also where the now dead Dark Elf expedition is.

Sneak down and retrieve the lever. Remember, landing on flower/grass patches makes the fall not so loud. Return to the Quartz to find the second lever. On the balcony where Styx spied on the Dark Elves, drop down one level and go through the open entrance. There is a staircase going up with a passage to a room with a chandelier.

You can first take care of the two Dark Elves in the room with the big table and the food bowl. You can hide under the big table. This is a great time to have a lockpick. Open the door in this room and enter.

Scan the downstairs bookshelves in this library for a hidden entrance. It’s a purple book. Open the door behind it to find the lever on the table. You now have both levers to use them on the Quartz shard and absorb it.

The Stasis Pit Battery

“A chunk buried deep in the heart of the invaded zone powers the Empire’s stasis tech – keeping orc prisoners sealed tight behind humming gates. But if that chunk goes missing, the Empire might have more company than they planned for.”

This Quartz shard is near “Annexed Sequoia Trunk”. If you don’t know how to reach it, travel to the Broken Bridge Cave – Western camp, which is behind the saw mill location. From here, you have to grapple your way behind the waterfall until you reach the Orc area. The first balloon you will see is the Annexed Sequoia Trunk.

From the balloon roof, look for a grapple point to a crouch space. This will lead to the Quartz shard.

Reach the marked area below the Quartz. There is a staircase leading down and a hole in the floor. That’ll take you there.

Hide in the underfloor crawlspace and talk to the orc prisoner. You will now have to sabotage 4 catalysts to create a diversion. They are the shiny mechanisms in front of the prison cells. They are all on the same level. Interact with them to sabotage. Return to the Orc when done.

The lever for the Quartz cage his high up in this area.You can jump on those hanging cages to get to the top.

Of course, the lever is missing and you will have to spy on the guards (in the same room under the table). The guards will mention that the lever is at the forge. For this you will have to sneak to the other side of the lever. The forge has a shop sign.

A good access point is a backdoor on the third floor. From here, go down the staircase into the next room where you can drop down to the lever through a shaft next to a fireplace.

Return to the lever mechanism and use it with the lever part. You can now reach and absorb the Quartz. – After you’ve dealt with the orc.

The Seedgate Treasure

“Tucked away in the last orc-controlled stretch of Turqoise, a Chunk sleeps within the village. Still untouched… for now.”

This Quartz is located behind the Annexed Sequoia Trunk arena (from the previous Quartz shard). Exit towards the back and look up to the tree there are many grapple points. Use them to reach the target point.

There is a locked gate that requires a seed. Spy on the Orks and you will know where the seeds are that you’re looking for.

The first seed is in the Ork’s refuge. It’s on the left side of the area. Find the one Ork you can talk to. He’s on a higher level. Talk to him and he will guide you to the seed.

For the second seed, return to the arena and exit to the back. Use Amber Vision to find the bugs below. You can spot yellow Ork footprints. Follow them to the seed.

Drop down to find bones on the floor with two bugs. Keep looking for those yellow footprints and follow them down. There is an Ork hut with the seed inside.

If you have done the Turquoise Dawn Cave Waterfall Pure Amber already, this is were you have to go for the third seed (Pure Amber highlighted). Enter the higher, deeper cave and go to the end, where a mother bug is eating an Ork. The seed is next to the mother.

Return to the gate and use the three seeds to open the gate to the Quartz shard.
