Sabotage – Starfield Ryujin Industries Mission Walkthrough
“Sabotage” is the follow-up Mission of “THE KEY INGREDIENT” for the Ryujin faction in Starfield. This is the step-by-step walkthrough.
After handing over the missing rothicite shipment, Masako is sending me back to the Executive Office to talk to Dalton.
1. MEET DALTON IN HIS OFFICE
Mission text:
“I need to meet Dalton to get the latest update on the mole. I can find him in his office on the Executive Floor.”
Head back to the Ryujin Tower’s elevator and go up to the Executive Offices and talk to him.
2. TAKE A SEAT IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM
Mission text:
“Dalton and Masako want me to attend the meeting where they discuss the mole and their plans for Infinity LTD. I should take a seat and listen.”
The meeting room is on the same floor, next door to Dalton’s office. Enter it and take the seat that is marked. Listen to the meeting.
3. MEET VEENA IN THE NEUROAMP DIVISION
Mission text:
“Veena completed the Internal Neuroamp. I should meet her in the Neuroamp Division on the Research and Development floor.”
Take the elevator back down to “Research and Development” and talk to Veena.
4. LIE DOWN ON THE OPERATING TABLE
Mission text:
“Veena is ready to perform the operation to implant the Internal Neuroamp in my head. I need to lay down on the neurosurgery table when I’m ready.”
Interact with the operating table in the same room and talk to Veena after you’re awake again.
5. GO TO THE OBSERVATION DECK
Mission text:
“Veena wants me to test the Internal Neuroamp on DeMarcus. I need to head up to the Observation Deck to try to use it.”
Exit the room and follow the marker up stairs.
Here you get the Neuroamp instruction and tutorial:
Marcus is locked in a room. The goal is that you have to manipulate him to open the door with the computer.
Start by using your scanner, point it to Marcus and hit “A”. You then get the Manipulation option on the right side. When Marcus is manipulated (the puppet symbol above his head), point to the highlighted keycard on the bench next to Marcus. Marcus will go over and pick up the keycard.
You have to manipulate again after every action. After he’s picked up the keycard, manipulate him again in the same way and interact with the locked door. Marcus will then go over and open it with the keycard.
6. WAIT FOR VEENA AND DEMARCUS
Mission text:
“I successfully tested the Internal Neuroamp. I should head back down and see what they have to say.”
Meet with Veena and Marcus downstairs. Wait until they have finished the conversation. Talk to Veena afterwards.
7. TALK TO MASAKO IN HER OFFICE
Mission text:
“Veena reminded me that Masako wants to speak to me about the Infinity LTD assignment. I can find her in her office on the Executive Offices floor.”
Take the elevator up to the Executive Offices floor and talk to Masako in her office. She wants you to infiltrate LTD and gives you two options:
– A – going in through maintenance (sneak)
– B – Fake Identity and a meeting (direct)
Assuming that the direct approach involves “just” persuasion, I’ll pick the maintenance, sneaking option. You’ll get an Operative Helmet and Suit, a fake ID card, a Maintenance Passcode and the Overseer Program on a slate.
8. TALK TO DALTON
Mission text:
“I need to bring the Overseer program to Dalton in his office. He believes it holds the evidence needed to prove Ularu is the mole.”
Head back up to Dalton’s office and talk to him. Wait for his conclusion and receive a new slate.
9. TRAVEL TO NEW ATLANTIS
Mission text:
“I need to travel to New Atlantis to get my assignment underway.”
Get to your ship and travel to New Atlantis, Jemison, Alpha Centauri.
10. ENTER THE INFINITY LTD CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
Mission text:
“I need to get inside the Infinity LTD building. I can either use my assigned identity to gain access at the entrance or find the roof access door.”
I do like a challenge now and then and picked the roof entrance. Here’s how to do it:
First, take the NAT to the Commercial District. For the rooftop access, run past the LTD building, past the Outland shop to Galbank. Behind Galbank is an access door.
Enter and in the corridor turn left to go up. At the top of the staircase you exit the roof and enter again through another door.
Here’s the access door to Infinity Limited HQ. You can use the Maintenance Access Keycard to unlock the door.
Since this is a stealth mission, leave your companion behind if they can’t do stealth!
11. SABOTAGE THE HEATING SYSTEM (OPTIONAL)
Mission text:
“I need to run the Overseer program on Lucas and Faye’s computers and find the Internal Neuroamp Prototype. I received a maintenance passcode that I can use to sabotage the heating system. This may help clear most of the people out of the building.
Let’s sabotage the heating system, shall we?
In this vent, head straight ahead through another vent door, where you can see a big fan shaft with two fans, a guard and a switch. Use the Neuroamp ability to turn off this fan.
Go into scanner mode, look at the guard, select him. Choose “Manipulation” and then select the highlighted fan switch. He will then turn off the fan.
Now you can jump down the fan shaft. There is a passage at the bottom. Take it to get to the heating system. Interact with its computer, select “Critical Systems” and then “Heating”. Activate the heating system.
12. RUN THE PROGRAM ON LUCAS’ COMPUTER
Mission text:
“I need to run the Overseer program on Lucas and Faye’s computers and find the Internal Neuroamp Prototype. I received a maintenance passcode that I can use to sabotage the heating system. This may help clear most of the people out of the building.
With the heating system now sabotaged, exit the room from where you came from (don’t go up the stairs). You will see a vent cover that you can open to get in.

You are now standing on top of a lamp in a big hall. Open your scanner and find the Lucas’ Computer marker. You can walk on the lamps to get closer. Even though I turned on the heating system, there are still guards around.
Stay on top of the lamps. You can walk on them straight to Lucas’ office but there is still the guard there and you can’t use the vent.
Open your scanner and manipulate the guard. Send them to the other side of the room, so you can jump down and pick the Novice lock. Close the door behind you when you’re inside. You can now access Novice-lockpick Lucas’ computer on the desk to upload the Overseer Program.
13. FIND A WAY INTO RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Mission text:
“I need to run the Overseer program on Faye’s computer and find the Internal Neuroamp Prototype. Both should be on the Research and Development floor.”
From Lucas’ office, head out and jump back up onto the lamp. Cross to the other side, where you can see another vent door that you can use.
Drop down there, open the vent and jump inside. On the other side is another hole in the floor where you can drop down into another room.
There is yet another vent access panel. Use it to get inside the vent.
On the other side of this vent you can get access to an office with guards in it.
Don’t drop down but jump onto the lamps instead to be able to walk above the office. On the other side of the vent you came out of is another vent hatch you can use to crawl in.
From up here inside the vent you can drop down to a lower level where you can open this hatch. Do so and drop down into a public bathroom.
The next part is tricky. You have to open the bathroom door without the guards spotting you. So either sneak or run for it. Exit the bathroom and turn left. Go past some offices into the big cafeteria straight ahead, where you turn left. There is another vent access.
Go down another level inside this vent and drop down onto another ceiling lamp at the other end.
On the lamps, walk towards the mission marker, avoiding the gas leaks and guards. There is another closed vent. Open it and go inside.
You’re now in an elevator shaft, standing on top of an elevator. Research and Development is just below. Look down. There are some beams that you can use to get down. There is another vent panel that you can go through at the bottom of the elevator shaft.
Of course there is a security guard right where you exit the shaft. You can jump over to the higher, opposite ledge.
14. RUN THE PROGRAM ON FAYE’S COMPUTER
Mission text:
“I need to run the Overseer program on Faye’s computer and find the Internal Neuroamp Prototype. Both should be on the Research and Development floor.”
You can now walk on this higher ledge to get to the Neuroamp Prototype ahead. It’s inside a room protected by a turret. Notice that the turrets have a red beam they will see you when the red beam hits you.
While you’re there, notice the computer on the bridge in front of the turret and the vent right next to it? Above it to the left is a vent shaft you can enter.
Go back towards the vent you used to come into this area and jump onto the opposite ledge. There is a vent access from there. Reach this upper vent and go inside. Be careful that the turret won’t spot you.
In this vent corridor, you can access the Power Station Controls computer that you previously saw outside. It’s an Expert lock. I would suggest to do it if you can. It will overload the system.
Now go all the way through this vent and you will get to an opening on the floor. Drop down and you’re almost in Faye’s office, which is just around the corner up the stairs. Mind the guards they could still spot you through the window. Now you can run the program on Faye’s computer.
15. OBTAIN THE NEUROAMP PROTOTYPE
Mission text:
“I need to find the Internal Neuroamp Prototype on the Research and Development floor.”
Now all that’s left is the Internal Neuroamp Prototype. Pick up the R&D Card that is on Faye’s desk, next to the cooler and above the safe with the Master Lock.
Go downstairs from Faye’s office. There is an orange door. Go through it to the end to reach the lab.
In the lab there is a turret overhead, just above a red security door. Watch its movements. You have to go straight ahead, around the corner and upstairs.
On the upper level is the computer for the turret controls. Switch them off, since Masako does not want casualties.
Go back downstairs to the red security door and use the ID Card from Faye’s Desk on the ID Card reader. There are guards in the lab. Time to get hostile but with a non-lethal weapon if you must.
Now you have lab access. The Neuroamp is inside a holding chamber that is connected to a computer through a cable. Interact with the computer to open this holding chamber. It needs Expert lock picking or look for a Security Passcode which is lying on top of one of the brightly lit computer workstations. An alarm will sound if you don’t turn it off at the computer.
Now you can take the Neuroamp Prototype.
16. DELIVER THE EVIDENCE TO DAVID BARRON AT THE SSNN FIELD OFFICE
Mission text:
“I’ve completed my assignment within the Infinity LTD building. I need to deliver the slate to David Barron at SSNN in the New Atlantis Commercial District.”
Exit the lab the same way (through the vent) you came in. Use the elevator at the end of the corridor, below the vent you used to enter the R&D. It will take you back to the Roof.
The SSNN is just behind the Infinity LTD building. David Barron is standing inside. Talk to him and give him the slate.
17. REPORT TO MASAKO AT RYUJIN TOWER
Mission text:
“I’ve officially completed my assignment. I need to return to Masako at Ryujin Tower in Neon to let her know it’s complete.”
Return to Masako at Ryujin’s Executive Office Level in Neon and talk to her. She will give you the follow-up Mission “EXECUTIVE LEVEL” next.
