All That Money Can Buy – Starfield Constellation Mission Walkthrough
All That Money Can Buy is the follow-up mission of “Into the Unknown” of Constellation. Here’s a full, step-by-step walkthrough.
1. TALK TO WALTER STROUD
Mission text:
“Walter Stroud wants to talk to me.”
Walter Shroud can be found at The Lodge – Jemison – Alpha Centauri.
2. TRAVEL TO NEON
Mission text:
“Walter has asked me to come with him to Neon, where he intends to purchase an Artifact. He’ll be riding as a passenger in my ship until we get there.”
Get back to your ship and travel to Neon. On the Starmap, Neon is to the right of Alpha Centauri in the VOLII System (Volii Alpha).
3. TALK TO WALTER STROUD
Mission text:
“Walter has asked me to come with him to Neon, where he intends to purchase an Artifact. He’ll be riding as a passenger in my ship until we get there.”
Walter is standing outside, close to the ship at Neon Spaceport.
4. CHECK IN AT STROUD-EKLUND HQ
Mission text:
“Walter needs to head to the Stroud-Eklund offices here on Neon before we can meet with our Artifact seller.”
Follow the mission marker to the spaceport elevator and take it to the Neon Upper Level. Turn right and go all the way back to the Trade Tower. There is an elevator at ground level that takes you to “Stroud-Eklund Corporate HQ”.
At Stroud-Eklund, wait for the receptionist to buzz you in. This will open the door and you can follow the mission marker inside, where Walter awaits, having a conversation with Issa Eklund.
They will send you to two next mission steps: Ask About Security and Investigate the Seller.
5.1. ASK ABOUT SECURITY
Mission text:
“Walter and Issa want me to investigate the seller and case the Astral Lounge. The seller was connected to us by James Newill. The Astral Lounge is in the Trade Tower.”
To ask about security, head back to the elevator to the lobby. From here, take the pink steps up to the Astral Lounge.
Head inside and talk to Boone Morgan, the barkeeper.
Tell him that you have a meeting here later and you’re worried about security. Continue to quiz him about security, then either pay 4000 Credits or Persuade him. In this case you only pay 1000 Credits. This will lead to a new mission step: Check the Door Controls.
5.2. CHECK THE DOOR CONTROLS
Mission text:
“Walter and Issa want me to investigate the seller and case the Astral Lounge. The seller was connected to us by James Newill. The Astral Lounge is in the Trade Tower.”
To check the door controls, follow the mission marker to the “VIP ELEVATOR” at ground level of the Astral Lounge.
Take the elevator up to the VIP Balcony. Follow the mission marker into the balcony, where you can interact with a computer by the door.
Use a Digipic to unlock the computer (it’s only on Novice level) and select the “Remote Door Control” option once you’re in.
5.3. INVESTIGATE THE BUYER
Mission text:
“Walter and Issa want me to investigate the seller and case the Astral Lounge. The seller was connected to us by James Newill. The Astral Lounge is in the Trade Tower.”
Now everything is set at the Astral Lounge, time to investigate the buyer. Exit the Astral Lounge and follow the mission marker to Newill’s Goods at the Upper Level, where you can talk to James Newill.
Tell him “You set up a meeting with Walter Stroud recently”. You then can either pay 2500 Credits for the info or persuade him. You’ll now get the info to be able to “Search the Seller’s Sleepcrate.”
5.4. SEARCH THE SELLER’S SLEEPCRATE
Mission text:
“Walter and Issa want me to investigate the seller and case the Astral Lounge. The seller was connected to us by James Newill. The Astral Lounge is in the Trade Tower.”
After you’ve gotten the info about the Seller’s Sleepcrate from James Newill, follow the mission marker down to the “Ebbside” level. The Sleepcrate has a locked (Novice) Door. Use a Digipick to open it.
Inside the sleepcrate you can interact with a computer. Check all three “Personal Correspondence” folders in the computer.
6. TALK TO WALTER STROUD
Mission text:
“I should talk to Walter about what I’ve found, and let him know we’re ready to meet the seller.”
Head back to the Trade Tower lobby and take the elevator up to “Stroud-Eklund Corporate HQ” to talk to Walter.
7. GO TO THE ASTRAL LOUNGE
Mission text:
“I need to head over to the Astral Lounge and find the person selling the Artifact.”
Take the elevator down to the lobby and enter the Astral Lounge from there. Walter is waiting for you at the entrance. Walter will give you the code phrase “Ramsay and Travers” to identify the buyers.
8. LOCATE THE SELLER
Mission text:
“The seller will have a large security briefcase and will respond to the code phrase “Ramsay and Travers.””
Walk around in the Astral Lounge and look for a person with a large briefcase. He’s standing next to the bar. His name is “Musgrove”. Talk to him and use the phrase “Ramsay and Travers”.
9. TALK TO WALTER STROUD
Mission text:
“I found the seller. Time to meet with him and Walter.”
Go back to Walter to talk to him. He’s standing near the VIP Elevator.
10. NEGOTIATE FOR THE ARTIFACT
Mission text:
“I found the seller. Time to meet with him and Walter.”
Take the VIP elevator up to the VIP balcony. You can either sit or stand. If you choose to sit, you have to sit right opposite of the seller.
During the conversation you can choose to close the door. When you do so you can then signal Security to be on your side. The deal then runs smoothly.
11. HEAD TO THE ENTRANCE
Mission text:
“We have the Artifact. Time to leave.”
Whether you chose to play the security card or not, you now have the artifact. Go back to the entrance. – Just when you exit the VIP Balcony, a Slayton Agent will stop you, requesting the artifact – “His property”. You can either try to persuade him, call security or just attack him.
After this encounter, take the elevator down and talk to Issa at the exit. Slayton put a bounty on our heads and my ship is being impounded. Agree to get Slayton off your backs.
12. GO TO SLAYTON AEROSPACE HQ
Mission text:
“Slayton has impounded my ship at Neon’s spaceport. I’ll need to confront him and get him to free my ship before we can leave.”
Exit the Astral Lounge. At the Trade Tower lobby, take the elevator up to “Slayton Aerospace”.
13. FIND A WAY TO THE NEXT FLOOR
Mission text:
“Slayton has impounded my ship at Neon’s spaceport. I’ll need to confront him and get him to free my ship before we can leave.”
Talk to the receptionist. You can either persuade you or attack straight away. The elevator to the next floor needs a code.
If you fail to persuade the receptionist, you can go over to the elevators. There are two locked doors (Novice) nearby. You can sneak-hack the doors open. Go through the now open door next to the elevator with the code input. There is an elevator maintenance terminal in this room. Use it to override the elevator. Make sure security won’t see you!
Now you can take the elevator up. Slayton will call to you over intercom. Talk to Walter after.
14. GO TO THE NEXT FLOOR
Mission text:
“Slayton has impounded my ship at Neon’s spaceport. I’ll need to confront him and get him to free my ship before we can leave.”
Issa has managed to patch herself into intercom and she suggests to take the vent to sneak around. There is one close to the elevator exit. Enter this vent.
Follow the vent corridor up until you get to a section where you can see the elevator you came up with. Issa will instruct you over intercom to just cross over on top of it to continue your way in the opposite vent.
Drop down from the vent when Issa tells you to and follow the conduit to the very end of the corridor. In this corridor are two emergency doors. Don’t cut those if you don’t want the attention. Instead, go to the very end. There is an open vent at the ceiling. You can just climb up.
Go through another section of vent until you see an open hatch going down. The room with the open hatch is clear. Just drop down. From here on it is important to listen to Issa’s instructions if you want to remain unnoticed.
She will guide you to another maintenance room with pipes. Here you can climb up into a vent through a hatch. Right next to the hatch you came into the hatch from is another open hatch. Drop down there.
In this room, take the door to the right. Go straight ahead into the next room, where you should see a blue door without windows. That’s the door to get outside. Go!
As soon as you’re outside, sneaking most probably isn’t an option anymore. The goal is to climb the tower from outside using the staircases. It’s not very far or high. Enter the building again through this door.
15. CONFRONT NICOLAUS SLAYTON
Mission text:
“Slayton has impounded my ship at Neon’s spaceport. I’ll need to confront him and get him to free my ship before we can leave.”
Once inside again, follow the corridor down to the elevators, where Issa will give you some advice again. She calls the elevator and you can cross over to the other side, where Slayton’s already expecting you.
16. TALK TO MUSGROVE
Mission text:
“Slayton has impounded my ship at Neon’s spaceport. I’ll need to confront him and get him to free my ship before we can leave.”
After you’ve decided what to do with the seller (Musgrove), talk to him in the next room. You can either let him go, put him to jail or kill him.
17. GO TO THE SHIP
Mission text:
“Our ordeal with Slayton is over and we’re finally free to leave Neon and get the Artifact back to the Lodge.”
Take the elevator down to the Slayton lobby and from there the elevator down to the Trade Tower lobby. Follow the marker back to the ship. As soon as you’re sitting in the pilot’s seat, Walter will talk to you.
Then you can take off. In orbit, a ship “Helix” will call you. They identify themselves as “Starborn”.
Choose between trying to escape, handing the Artifact over or fight.
I escaped and returned to The Lodge. Whatever you pick, the follow-up Mission “STARBORN“ will now be in your Missions Menu.
