There are 2 Treasure Chests in Kuwaq Yaku, Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Treasure Chest 1 Location and Guide

Start at the Temple of Life Base Camp in Kuwaq Yaku. From there, progress to the large pool area and jump into the water.

The Treasure Chest is situated underwater, inside a cavern inhabited by piranhas. To reach it, swim carefully while keeping an eye on the available air pockets for survival.

Proceed to the right where you’ll spot a ruined building underwater. Activate your survival instincts to identify the barricaded exit and a yellow-marked chest on the lower level—which is the Treasure Chest. Swim around the building and head up the stairs to find an air pocket within the structure.

Once inside, force open the barricaded exit. At the bottom level, you’ll need the lockpick to open the Treasure Chest. If you haven’t acquired the lockpick yet, complete the “Find Takiy’s Dice” side mission in The Hidden City, where you can then purchase it.

After securing the treasure, you’ll need to swim forward through the same underwater path to exit safely.

Treasure Chest 2 Location and Guide

The second Treasure Chest in Kuwaq Yaku is located near the monolith south of the Hunting Grounds Base Camp. Find the staircase that leads up from the waterfront toward the monolith, then look underwater to the right of the steps to locate a hidden cave.

Dive into the cave to find the Treasure Chest submerged underwater. Like the first chest, you’ll need the lockpick to open it. If you don’t already have one, finish the “Find Takiy’s Dice” side mission in The Hidden City.
