1 – Veiled Edge Banners
Veiled Edge Banner collectibles serve as save and fast-travel points in Rise of the Ronin. They are sometimes, but not always located in significant and busy areas.
Southern Kariba
The first Veiled Edge Banner is just by the Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine Landmark in the south of the region’s map.
Shrine
Just north of the Shrine collectible in the center of the Kariba Region map is a Veiled Edge Banner. You can even see the Shrine from there.
Northern Hilltop
The northern Veiled Edge Banner is on top of the hill/mountain with the Windmill. To get there, follow the path up coming from the Public Order Event Village in the center of the map. Look for a platform at the base of the mountain. From there you can do a series of grapples to reach a higher platform. From there, you can grab onto a rope and climb higher, where you can grapple yet again to reach the top.
2 – Public Order
“Public Order” collectible events are locations in a region that enemies occupy. Free the area by killing all the enemies in the area. This will strengthen the bond with the villagers.
The Public Order Event area in the Kariba Region is just north of the center Veiled Edge Banner. There are a total of 12 bandits, including 4 “formidable foes” in this area. Be careful: The two fugitives Two-Faced Ginkuro – Lv.12 and Wild Tiger Mio – Lv. 12 are amongst them.
3 – Fugitives
“Fugitive” Collectibles are quests where you track down and defeat a fugitive.
Dokensai Kamase – Lv.6
The fugitive Dokensai Kamase is camping out in the south of the map near the Southern Kariba Veiled Edge Banner just by the Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine Landmark.
Two-Faced Ginkuro – Lv. 12
The fugitive Two-Faced Ginkuro is one of the bandits in the Public Order / Unruly Area event in the Kariba Region. He’s in the lower parts of the village, near a locked storehouse that requires a key. Two-Faced Ginkuro doesn’t have the key for it.
Wild Tiger Mio – Lv. 12
The fugitive Wild Tiger Mio is also one of the bandits in the Public Order / Unruly Area event in the Kariba Region. He’s inside the main building at the top of the village and he has the key for the storeroom that has a Treasure Chest in it.
4 – Landmark
Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine
The Landmark: Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine is in the south of the Kariba Region map. It’s quite busy here. There is also a Veiled Edge Banner, the Level 6 Fugitive: Dokensai Kamase, and a Photography Location.
5 – Shrine
You can find the Shrine near the lake in the south. If you reach the center Veiled Edge Banner, you can see the Shrine from there.
6 – Cats
The cat collectible is a real cat, not some kind of statue that you have to find. As you travel around the region, listen closely. You may hear a meowing from a cat. This means you are very close. Reach the Cat and pet it.
Western Estate
There’s a cat on the roof of the Estate northwest of the Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine Landmark. To reach the roof, head to the watchtower first. Look for a white-banded grapple point near the tower. Swing from the tree’s grapple point to the watchtower, then jump onto the main building’s roof to pet the cat.
Northern Mountain
The last cat is at the base of the northern mountain with the Windmill. To reach it, travel to the Northern Veiled Edge Banner and slowly descend to get to the cat.
7 – Treasure Chest
Treasure Chests are big unmissable chests that have to be found in the region.
Western Estate
There is an estate northwest of the Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine Landmark. This Treasure Chest is inside the freely accessible building.
Public Order Village
The second and last Treasure Chest in the Kariba Region is locked up in a storeroom at the Public Order / Unruly Area Village. The Fugitive: Wild Tiger Mio – Lv. 12 carries the key. He’s waiting inside the village’s main building at the very top.
8. Gliding Training
The Gliding Training is taking place at the top of Windmill Mountain at the Northern Veiled Edge Banner.
Compete for points by destroying floating targets while gliding. If you land on the ground anywhere outside of the goal, you will be disqualified. The faster you reach the goal, the more points you will earn. Reach over 9000 points to get the maximum reward. You only have to do it once to receive the collectible for the 100% Region Completion.
Please note that you will receive the book “An Illustrated Look at Flight” when you reach 6000 points. This is the book that you need to upgrade your gliding ability “Fast Flight” at the Photographic Studio in the Honcho Region, where Igashichi Iizuka will upgrade your gear.
See the points and rewards system below:
9 – Photography
The Nagaya Jizo
Photography Details:
Take a photograph of the ranks of Jizo statues that line the road to Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine.
There are many Jizo statues at Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine Landmark in southern Kariba. It might be tricky to know what’s required. Find a large cluster of Jizo statues near the Nagaya Tenmangu Shrine Building. See below for the precise location and photo-taking instructions.
The Narrow Post Town
Photography Details:
Stand at the edge of a cliff with a bridge behind your back, and photograph the Hodogaya Post that lays below.
The photograph’s location is just below the Northern Veiled Edge Banner, where the Windmill is. Get down, below the bridge and look down to the settlement to take this photograph:
