How to Solve the Soul Rune at Egion’s Abbey – Blades of Fire

Finding the Soul Rune

From the graveyard courtyard with the gazebo, head inside and follow the corridor. Defeat the waves of Sworn Shadow and Shadow Blades beasts along the way. Look for a gap in the fence on the right side. Through the gap, use a Time Rune to repair the stairwell, allowing access to the upper floor. Upstairs, you’ll find two Seneschal statues and the Soul Rune at the end of the room. (The Soul Rune is given by the blue lady in the King’s Bastion as you progress through the story.)

Once you have a charged Soul Rune, offer it to the glass picture at the end of the room. This will summon a Purple Hand, which will demand something important from Aran.

Solving the Soul Rune Puzzle

To uncover the object sought by the Soul Rune at Egion’s Abbey, make your way to Rogg’s Mountains and find Koko’s Hollow anvil. In the story, Aran faces off against Koko in a circular chamber, ultimately falling into a pit teeming with lurking Murlocks.

Descend into the Murlock pit and stick to the right as you navigate through it. You’ll come across a fire next to a crack in the wall, which leads to a chest and a Seneschal. Near this fire and the crack is a hole in the ground. Drop through the hole to reach the second level of the Murlock pit.

From here, the exit is visible on the far side. Cross the pit once more to reach the exit, then climb up the rope and ladder. At the top, you’ll discover a skeleton wearing Edric’s Crown.

Return to the Soul Rune’s purple hand at the Egion’s Abbey and offer the crown. This will reveal a coffin in the middle of the ground floor corridor. Interact with it to receive one of Nerea’s Tears.
