Potion Permit: Xiao’s Request Walkthrough

1 – Go to Town Hall

Opening Hours: 08:00 – 15:00

After you’ve picked Basil, Jasmine and Daisy in the Meadow Range for “The First Task” Main Quest, Forrest sends you to see Xiao at the Town Hall. It’s the big yellow building with the red roof in the centre of town.

2 – Neutralizing Herbal Balm & Wound Cleanser

In the cutscene that follows, your cauldron will be repaired and you can start brewing potions. Xiao needs a Neutralizing Herbal Balm and a Wound Cleanser.

Interact with the cauldron to start crafting. For both potions, you can use all available ingredients from all four categories to solve the puzzle that follows. With the ingredients you have, you have to fill out the given form. The ingredients’ form is fixed, you can’t rotate. In general, use bigger forms if possible. Here’s how I filled out the forms for those two potions. But it’s just one of many examples on how to solve this puzzle.

3 – Go to Town Hall

Opening Hours: 08:00 – 15:00

Return to the Town Hall and a cutscene finishes this Quest. Go back to your house to sleep until the next day. The Mayor will visit you when you exit the house and take you to a girl that has fallen sick. Perform your first diagnosis. She claims to have pain in her throat so investigate it with the magnifier. As soon as you hit Diagnosis, you have to play the “Rhythm” Mini-Game, where you have to hit the indicated buttons at the right time.
