The Library Annex has a total of 31 collectibles. 8 Chests, 20 Field Guides and 3 Demise Statues. Here’s where they are so you can complete the area 100%.
There is still a Collection Chest missing from this list but it will be added asap.
COLLECTION CHESTS
There are many chests at Hogwarts Legacy, but only a small amount contribute towards the “Collections” section in the game menu. There are 8 of those chests at THE LIBRARY ANNEX, all listed below.
1 – LIBRARY
Get access to the locked area on the ground floor of the Library by simply playing the story. Then enter the Restricted Section of the Library and go downstairs, where it starts to get really dark. There is a bright desk with a chest on it. Open it to get the collectible.
Reward: Column – Teal and Brown – Wand Handles
2 – BELOW POTIONS CLASS
In Potions Class, go downstairs through the locked door. Follow the corridor until you get to a staircase. This puzzle is in the room.
Here’s how to solve the puzzle. First of all reveal the two maths tasks in the centre of the door. The task at the top has one question mark and the one at the bottom two question marks. You should see those question marks nearby as rotatable buttons. That’s where your answer goes.
Before you start calculating, look at the door frame. Ten animals, ten numbers from 0 – 9 from left to right. So the seal at the bottom left has the Zero, then the unicorn has One, the goat has Two etc. That’s the beast you have to select in your rotating button.
Let’s start with the first maths task:
SPIDER + 12+ ? = 22

EIGHT plus TWELVE plus TWO = 22

3 – BELOW DIVINATION CLASSROOM
When you walk from the Central Hall to the Divination Classroom at the top, you take a winding staircase. Between Central Hall and Divination Classroom is a level that is full of wooden beams. In here is a puzzle door.
Here’s how to solve the puzzle. First of all reveal the two maths tasks in the centre of the door. The task at the top has one question mark and the one at the bottom two question marks. You should see those question marks nearby as rotatable buttons. That’s where your answer goes.

4 – FROM PREVIOUS PUZZLE DOOR TO THE LEFT
You’ve just solved the previous puzzle, followed the corridor inside and arrived in a room with two puzzle doors just next to each other. This is the solution for the door to the left (marked with an “X” on the screenshot).

6 – BIG BRIDGE HOGWARTS SECRET – 2 CHESTS
Exit the Central Hall through the top exit to get to the big bridge. Here, set the four braziers on fire with a fire spell.
While you did that, did you notice that each brazier has a different symbol? Look for a round plate in the bridge’s floor that shows the same symbols but with numbers:

Now rotate every single one of those braziers so that they show the roman numbers displayed on the round floor plate. When you’ve done it all right, the same floor plate opens up and you can take the ladder down to get two Collection Chests.

FIELD GUIDE PAGES
There are two types of Field Guides. Some have to be discovered – those would be the collectible Revelio Pages – and the “Flying Pages” that need to be caught with the “ACCIO” spell and are not documented anywhere else but counted against the FIELD GUIDE PAGES challenge. Below those two pages will be listed under “Revelio Pages” and “Flying Pages”.
The two pages from “Professor Ronen’s Assignment” don’t count towards the area completion since they are part of a tutorial quest.
REVELIO PAGES
The Revelio Pages in this area will be shown in the same order as they appear in the “Collections – Revelio Pages” Game Menu.
1 – CENTRAL HALL FOUNTAIN
At the Library Annex is the Central Hall Fountain. It’s in the centre of the area.
Collectible description:
“This ornate fountain features intricately carved statues of denizens of the magical world, including a set of stone sirens encircling the fountain’s base.”
2 – PROFESSOR SHARP’S AUROR BADGE
In the main story quest, go to Potions Class. Inside the room is a table with this badge.
Collectible description:
“Aurors comprise the Ministry’s magical law enforcement and protect the wizarding world from all sorts of threats – particularly those posed by Dark Magic. This Auror badge belongs to Professor Sharp.”
3 – GORGON PORTRAIT
In Potions Class, go downstairs through the locked door. Follow the corridor until you get to a staircase. This puzzle is in the room. Inside is the Gorgon Portrait. See above CHEST 2 – BELOW POTIONS CLASS – WIZARD MANNEQUINS how to solve the puzzle.
Collectible description:
“An oil painting of a beautiful gorgon and her suitor, whose eyes are wisely averted as he bends to kiss her hand. It is said that the artist who painted this accidentally gazed at his subject when he delivered the painting and is now forever a sculpture in a garden in Greece.”
4 – GREENHOUSE TREE
Take the The Library Annex’ big gate exit and you will enter the Greenhouse. The big tree there has a story to tell.
Collectible description:
“Situated at the centre of a Hogwarts greenhouse, this giant tree has a system of roots as deep-reaching and convoluted as the school’s dungeons.”
5 – DIRIGIBLE PLUMS
Continue with the story and you will eventually have Herbalism Class at the green house. This tree is at the same location as the cabbages. You’ll know what I mean when you get there.
Collectible description:
“This orange, radish-like fruit floats upside-down as it grows. Some believe it can enhance one’s ability to accept the extraordinary.”
6 – STATUE OF GREGORY THE SMARMY
The Statue of Gregory the Smarmy is in The Library Annex. Enter it through the courtyard coming from The Astronomy Wing. It’s just at the ground floor.
Collectible description:
“This statue with an ingratiating grin depicts the medieval wizard Gregory the Smarmy, the wizard famous for inventing Gregory’s Unctuous Unction, a potion that makes the drinker believe whoever gave them the potion is their best friend.”
7 – THE OLD LIBRARIAN
Head to the second floor of the Library in THE LIBRARY ANNEX. There is a tall painting of the Old Librarian overlooking the whole library.
Collectible description:
“One of the first librarians of Hogwarts is depicted here. Rumour is that he had no tolerance whatsoever for noisy student and was known for his liberal use of the Silencing Charm at the slightest sneeze.”
8 – ENCHANTED BOOKS
To get this Revelio Page, you have to continue with the story so you get access to the locked, resticted section of the library at ground floor. Then, go down one floor and look for a book shelf with this book.
Collectible description:
“Best to avoid these books if possible – due not as much to their tendency to fly from one’s hands as to their content being spectacular drivel of no educational value whatsoever.”
9 – PALMISTRY MODEL
Travel to the Divination Classroom Fast Travel Point at The Library Annex. From there, go to the top of the tower, up the ladder. In this classroom is the Palmistry Model.
Collectible description:
“This standing model of a hand is demarcated to help students in the practice of palmistry. Depending upon the angle at which this model is read, it either has a considerable life line or is likely to die in a fortnight.”
10 – BOOK ON INTERMEDIATE TRANSFIGURATION
To get this Field Guide Page, you have to wait for one of Professor Weasley’s Assignments. Then you can go to the top floor of the Library, where you have to solve a couple of quizzes first, before you get access to this book.
Collectible description:
“This book is designed to help guide the student who wishes to pursue more complicated types of Transfiguration. Professor Weasley often recommends it to her advanced students as a bit of light reading.”
11 – PORTRAIT OF SIR CADOGAN
At the top framed paintings level of the Library Annex is this Portrait of Sir Cadogan.
Collectible description:
“Sir Cadogan was allegedly friends with Merlin himself, and as such became a sworn Knight of the Round Table – although he is only really known to the wizarding world. He is famous for his defeat of the Wyvern of Wye and now spends his days challenging students to duels.“
UNNAMED PAGES
As the name says, there are unnamed pages that don’t have a Revelio Page entry in the Collections Menu of the game. They do count as Field Guide Page, even though they “disappear” after you’ve picked them up. Places where Unnamed Pages are:
1 – Flying Pages – catch the page with “ACCIO”
2 – Black “empty” painting frames – Find the location inside the picture to find the moth
3 – Dragon Bowls– Use “INCENDIO” (Fire) on them.
4 – Globe holding Statues – Use “LEVIOSO” on them.
They’re not documented in the Collectibles Section of the game menu, but count towards the Challenges.
12 – FLYING PAGE – DOOR TO THE ASTRONOMY WING COURTYARD
At the ground floor, at the base of the stairs coming from THE ASTRONOMY WING COURTYARD is a page flying around.
13 – FLYING PAGE – MAIN HALL HIGH UP
There is another flying paper in the Main Hall of The Library Annex. But this time it is high up.
14 – FLYING PAGE – LIBRARY
A flying paper is high up in the library.
15 – BLACK PAINTING – MAIN HALL
Get closer to the black, framed painting and cast “LUMOS” – Light on it. You have to find a moth that fits into the frames’ moth shaped bay at the bottom of it.
The search area is highlighted with a purple circle on the mini map. Go to the Main Hall’s exit. That’s where the big statue is on the revealed picture. Cast “LUMOS” again to catch the moth. Like that you can carry it back to the frame. When you’re there, deactivate “LUMOS” and the moth lands in the bay on the frame.

16 – BLACK PAINTING – LIBRARY
There is a Black Picture with Frame on the second, top floor of the Library. Cast “LUMOS” and get closer to see the revealing picture. It’s the painting of The Old Librarian.
The painting is on the same level as the frame, between the two staircases. As soon as you’re casting “LUMIO” in front of the painting, the moth will fly around your wand and you can carry it back to the frame for the Field Guide Page.
17 – BLACK PAINTING – POTIONS CLASS
At the Potions Class, go downstairs and open the locked door. In the corridor behind the door is the Black Painting.
The painting shows another painting and a partial staircase. You can find the moth on the display in the next room. Take it back to the black painting.
18 – DRAGON BOWL – MAIN HALL BALCONY
Look for a quest giver called Cressida on one of the balconies. Next to her is one of the “Dragon Bowls”. Use “INCENDIO” on it to reveal the Field Guide Page.
19 – GLOBE STATUE – LIBRARY: RESTRICTED SECTION
The Restricted Section in the Library is the locked up area on ground level. Continue with the story to be able to access it. Further down in the Restricted Section, where it gets quite dark, you can find a statue with a globe in one hand. Use “LEVIOSO” (the feather) on it to get the Field Guide Page.
20 – GLOBE STATUE – LOCKED DOOR NEAR GREENHOUSE DOOR
From the Central Hall, go down to the door that leads to the Greenhouses. There is a locked room nearby with a Globe Statue inside.
DEMIGUISE STATUES
The Demiguise Statues are introduced with the Main Story Quest called “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament”. Those small statues can only be picked up at night.
1 – THE LIBRARY – RESTRICTED AREA
The Restricted Area in the Library is on the ground floor and will be unlocked in the story. Go down one floor in the restricted area. Far in the back is a Demiguise.
2 – BELOW POTIONS CLASS – LONG GALLERY
In Potions Class, go downstairs through the locked door. In the corridor, the Long Gallery, is a small room with a Demiguise inside.
3 – DIVINATION CLASSROOM
It’s inside the Divination Classroom at the very top, on the desk.
