Lymbic Rod – Terror, Y

Solve the Reservoir / Pool puzzle of the Blue Flower Scroll at Lake Cynon and enter the reservoir structure. At the lowest level of the first big room is a chest with the Lymbic Rod – Terror, Y inside.

Description:
Database: Lymbic Rod, sphere of Terror, designation Yankee. Carved out of solidified lymbic material. Smoothed, angular surface for insertion into Lymbic lock mechanisms.

Reaching the Second Rod

During the story playthrough – the Family Legacy Investigation, you will now reach the room with the Great Atrium door that requires two Sigils to open.

The door just left of the Great Atrium opens into a hallway patrolled by a spike-throwing Hollow Walker. This hallway features a ground-level door and a passage. A staircase leads up to the Armory Door, requiring the two Lymbic Rods Terror X & Y. You do have the Lymbic Rod, Terry Y but still need the X.

Descend to the bottom level of this room to follow the passage to the left. There are two doors in this passage. One door to the left, the other straight ahead.

The door to the left leads to Storage or Wine Hall with the collectible: Key – Crying Eye. You will need this key to find the Lymbic Rod Y and return to the Atrium in the story.

The other door leads to a room with a wooden mechanism at its center, with Hollow Walkers lurking around it. Drop down into the pit and fight the Hollow Walkers in it, then climb the ladder up again to fight the spike-throwing walker. In this room is the collectible: Sigil – Phol Guard. One of two items is needed to open the Great Atrium Door.

The two doors left of the Great Atrium are cleared, and the Sigil – Phol Guard can be placed into the left socket of the Great Atrium Door. Next is the upstairs door to the right.

A corridor leads down past a waterwheel and bookshelves to a door that opens by pulling a lever. Open the door and fight the Hollow Walkers behind it. This room has a fireplace with the inscription: “To the North and to the South. The way will be revealed.“

The torches around the fireplace can all be moved. Only rotate the torches at the back wall (north) and the ones at the opposite side (south) to open a secret compartment in the fireplace, revealing a chest with the Sigil – Order of the Eye inside. There is also a locked door here that requires the Owl Key. It is in the Great Atrium, and I will come back to that.

You can now open the Great Atrium Door by placing this sigil in the other slot. The Great Atrium door opens, revealing a room with an impressive mechanism and some Hollow Walkers. The Key – Owl is near the spike-throwing Hollow Walker.

Return to the Owl Door near the previous fireplace and use the Key – Owl to open it. There is a Lymbic Chest inside that requires the Lymbic Rod Grief, Z. There is a staircase up that leads to a room that has the Research Item: Old Sketchbook locked away inside a cupboard.

Return to the room with the Lymbic Chest and follow the staircase down to the door that leads back to the atrium. Here you can find a chest with the Gear – Spoked. It is needed for the Atrium’s mechanism – the Water Sluice Controls.

To repair the Water Sluice Controls in the Great Atrium, place the gear that you just found in the slot to the left of the inscription, as shown in the screenshot, and pull the left lever.

This will lower the water in this room, and you can descend using the stairs. Drop down at the bottom, near some scaffolding. There are a lot of passages down here. I first stayed on the right side of the room, where there are two passages. One of them has an inscription (Chapel) and a lever.

Lymbic Rod – Terror, X

Follow the chapel passage. The gate closes behind you if you do. After defeating all the Hollow Walkers in the corridor, go to the far back, where you can find a chest with the collectible: Lymbic Rod – Terror X. It’s the second Lymbic Rod for the Lymbic Door – Lymbic Forge Mystery.

Follow the only way possible to find a locked door to the Second Library. It requires the Key – Crying Eye, which you have found earlier. Here you can find the Defensive Gear: Bracers of Grief – Denial. In this library is also the second Timeloop Guardian. Unlock the gate in this room it opens a passage to the fireplace room.

Reaching the Third Rod

For the third Lymbic Rod needed to open the door, Lymbic Rod – Terror W, return to the corridor where the Crying Eye door was and enter the chapel instead. You will hear a wooshing of a Timeloop Guardian down below. Defeat it and head up at the other side to drop down to the pulpit, where you can find the collectibles: Gear – Large and Lymbic Rod – Rage, W. This will start the Lymbic Chest – Lymbic Forge, Hall Mystery.

Exit this room through the only door to hear another Timeloop Guardian wooshing in here. Defeat the Timeloop Guardian, and you can find the Lymbic Rod – Neutral, V in the scroll shelf, which opens the Lymbic Chest in the Dormitory for the Lymbic Chest – Lymbic Forge Dormitory Mystery.

Return to the Great Atrium, where you can repair the second part of the Water Sluice Controls using the Gear – Large. Don’t forget to pull the lever to make the water recede. Now you can get to the bottom of the Great Atrium.

Lymbic Rod – Terror, W

Follow the wooden platform path to a ladder where a spike-shooting Hollow Walker is. Here you will find the collectible: Lymbic Rod – Terror, W.

Lymbic Door – Terror

The Lymbic door that requires those three Lymbic Rods is at the bottom of the Great Atrium. Use the rods to open the door. Make sure you use the green glowing rods. Inside, you can find the Glyph – Shriek of Terror and the Glyph – Gluttony – Enhanced.
