Far Cry 6 hides sixteen criptograma chests across Yara, each locked until you track down its matching criptograma chart hidden somewhere nearby. Every chest holds a piece of MK II gear, so it’s worth grabbing all of them if you’re aiming for the strongest loadout. Below you’ll find every chest and its chart, organised alphabetically by province, with maps and screenshots for each location.

North of the FND Radar Bunker, Ida’s Refuge, Aguas Lindas is a dead village with no name.

#28 – Yaran Queen Butterfly
Look towards the sea to the next island. There is a blue flag / climb spot. Go there and climb that little rock next to it. The Criptograma is at the top.
#12 – Shark
From there, look to the east to the other island. You should see another blue cloth that marks the location. Get over there. It’s a fishing spot. At the wind chime, dive down. The Criptograma is underwater. Follow the blue wooden boards to find it.
Armonia, Isla Santuario, Quito
North of Armonia is a little junkyard with a Criptograma Chest.

#1 – Yaran Flag
The Criptograma is behind the house at the back of a pipe / tunnel.
#6 – Royal Palm
The Criptograma is on the roof above the chest.
Barriga, Nueva Vida, Sierra Perdida
The Criptograma Chest is right at the north of town by the water.

#14 – Horse
The Horse is right at the opposite side of the CAUTO DE PASO LAGOON, in the north by the Bass Fishing Spot. It’s pinned on Cabin 1.
#30 – Domino
Domino is on the western shore of the CAUTO DE PASO LAGOON. It’s hanging inside the shed.
Casa Marroquin (Higado Lake), Savannah Fields, Sierra Perdida
North of Higado Lake is Casa Marrroquin. The Chest is on the roof.

#7 – El Cocodrilo
The Criptograma is inside the enclosure south west of the chest. Destroy the wooden door to get inside.
#27 – Todororo
The Criptograma is south of the chest on the other side of the lake. There is a small farmer’s shed. It’s hanging inside.
Conception, Conuco
North West in Concepcion town. The chest is on the roof.

#24 – Chalice
The Criptograma is in the north east in town on the roof. Right where the Workbench sign is on the map.
#5 – Machete
The Criptograma is north of the chest in town. There is a block of apartments with a center courtyard. It’s inside a little ground level room by the stairs.
El Dorado Cabins, Serpentino Park, Costa del Mar
There is a watertower east of the cabins. The Criptograma Chest is on top of it.

#3 – Pig
In the south are a couple of small islands. The Pig is on one of them. Look for a pole with a wind chime.
#22 – Dog
The dog is at the very tip of this island chain.
Feroza, Balaceras, Valle de Oro
South of Feroza is a small junkyard with the Criptograma Chest needing a Starfish and a Libertad Emblem.

#23 – Libertad Emblem
Look around for a yellow shipping container with an open door. You can get inside from the back but you have to smash the wooden barricade with melee first. Once inside the container, turn around and you will see the Criptograma hanging above the entrance.
#4 – Starfish
There are a lot of wrecked cars around. Look for a car with a wooden pallet leaning on it. Smash the pallet with melee and you get access to the Starfish.
La Divinidad, Old Pueblo, Esperanza
North of the cathedral, on the roof, is this Criptograma Chest.

#2 – La Guitarra
This Criptograma is on the roof of the building east of the cathedral.
#11 – Rum
It’s on the roof in the northwestern corner of the cathedral. You can get to it either from inside or from the roof in the west.
Noventarmas, Cielo Gardens
In the southeastern corner of Noventarmas is a submerged tower. The Criptograma Chest is at its feet.

#9 – Tarantula
It’s at the top of the tower. Take the ladder up and climb to the grapple. Use it to get to the next platform up. Cross the floor. You can use the vines on the other side to advance. On the next floor, use the grapple in the center to get up.
#26 – Boxing Gloves
From the top, look to the west. There is a smaller tower with a blue cloth. That’s where the Criptograma is. You can either wingsuit to it, or you can dive. The entrance of the tower is submerged on the side of the blue cloth.
Poesia, Aguada Cliffs, Costa Del Mar
In the west of Poesia Village, by the coast is the chest.

#10 – Rooster
Look out west to the sea and you will see a tiny rock island. The first Criptograma is there.
#25 – Yara Libre
From the small rock, swim/drive south along the west coast of the island. As soon as you see a broken boat, stop and look up. There is a grapple to use. Once you’re up, you’ll see the YARA LIBRE hanging on the rock.
Ruben, Muerte Point, Barrial
The chest is in the southeastern part of the village.

#20 – Mamey Sapote
It’s underneath the dock by the water. You have to get inside to get it.
#17 – Coin
It’s southeast from the chest by the water. You need to blow up the cave entrance to get inside. It’s hanging at the dock.
Sabiduria Valley, Cruz del Salvador
The chest is on a watchtower in an unnamed field northwest of Segunda Town.

#13 – Cat
The Criptograma is nearby in the field. Open the map and you will see four white dots around the watchtower. It’s at the eastern dot. It’s a blocked hole in the ground. Blow it up and you can climb down to dive for it.
#29 – Soursop
This Criptograma is at the southern dot. It’s a blocked hole in the ground again. Blow it up and you can climb down to retrieve it.
Siete Pajaros Apartments, Esperanza
On the southern edge of Esperanza is this Criptograma Chest, at the Siete Pájaros Apartments.

#08 – Car Clasico
Grapple up the building just left of the chest, then jump across to the next rooftop. The drawing is waiting there.
#15 – El Flamenco
From the Car Clásico rooftop, take the zipline over to the next building. Climb the vines on the side of the building to reach the top, where the drawing is pinned on the side of the building.
The People’s Pride Clinic, Dorada Cove, Lo Joya
The chest is on the roof of the building. Take the ladder up.

#18 – Cigar
The first Criptograma is on the roof of one of the buildings of the SENDROWSKI HOUSING BLOCKS in the west of the chest. You can grapple up the other building and use the zipline to reach it.
#21 – Croco Taxi
The second one is on the roof of the building facing the sea across the road. You can climb up the building on the side that is facing the sea.
Verdera, Lozania
In the north of VERDERA, LOZANIA is a big advertising board. Behind it is the chest.

#16 – El Trompo
Look to the south and you will see some blue cloth in the distance. That’s where you need to go. The Criptograma is hanging on a watertank on the roof.
#19 – Sunrise Mariposa Flower
Now follow the drawing on the floor pointing to the south again. You’ll see another path of blue cloth. Follow it to another watertank.
