About F7 North Distribution Centre

This distribution centre once served as an important delivery hub for both South Fort Knot (F6) and Cardinal Fort Knot (F7) – the latter so named for its proximity to Australia’s old capital.

Tragically, when surrounding tar currents became unstable, F7 was pulled into the sea, destroying the city. Even now, the tar currents and chiral fields in the local area remain extremely volatile.

In such an environment, serious doubts surrounded the feasibility of connecting the F7 North Distribution Centre to the network, with many believing that the connection, even if successful, would ultimately fail to stabilise. A similar phenomenon has been observed at F6, which has been connected to the network, but continues to be plagued by unexpectedly low chiral bandwidth.

These issues were originally thought to be caused by chiral jammers, but Sam’s destruction of a pair of such devices outside the Southern Environmental Observatory failed to alleviate the instability of the currents in the area. It now seems likely that some other force is at play. One capable of destabilising the currents over a far wider area.

A member of the APAC advance expedition and later attached to Heartman’s team, Bianca North knows a great deal about Beach mapping. She also seems to have a strong admiration for Fragile.

The chiral network has been expanded to South Fort Knot (F6), but the network strength is weak. With the bandwidth issues currently impacting the connection to both F6 and the F7 North Distribution Centre, it’s highly unlikely that a stable connection can be extended all the way to Terminal Fort Knot (F8).

Bianca believes that the network signal is being disrupted by instability in the tar currents and the presence of a ghost field. It’s also possible that this issue was compounded by the appearance of ghost mechs near the Southern Environmental Observatory. To bolster the network and ensure a stable connection, the waystations en route to F8 must be brought online using a ‘network stabiliser’. To that end, Bianca requested that the device be brought from Heartman’s Lab to the F7 North Distribution Centre.

The rockets are highly effective against BTs and inflict a great deal of damage to mechs, but result in lethal damage against human targets. Double-check your target before pulling the trigger.

This is a powerful weapon, but also extremely large and unwieldy – it’s not suited to being carried around for long periods.

Its seven rockets can be fired in quick succession and will fly straight before exploding on impact. The rockets are highly effective against BTs, will inflict a great deal of damage to mechs, and lethal damage against human targets. Double-check your target before pulling the trigger.
