1. Boosting the Speeder
According to the quest hint, the bartender at the Daruda Diner in the Settlement of “Jaunta’s Hope” knows more about the speeder mechanic. So Kay enters the diner and talks to the person behind the counter.
The Bartender informs Kay about a local speeder mechanic named “Selo Rovak,” but mentions that she is wary of strangers. He suggests that her acquaintances in the Fishing Village, particularly those known as “Kadua,” might have information about her whereabouts.
2. Selo’s People – Visiting Kadua
The Fishing Village of Kadua lies to the northwest on the map, positioned west of Mirogana City. At the heart of the village, two individuals operate the fishing boats. Engage in conversation with them for additional insights. One of them will mention to Kay that Selo resides “cliffside near Jaunta’s Hope.”
3. Selo’s Shop Location
Northeast of Jaunta’s Hope, a house perched on the cliff releases smoke from a campfire at its center. The solitary resident, Selo Rovak, dwells here and is easily recognizable.
Initially hesitant, Selo eventually proposes a deal to enhance Kay’s speeder. He explains that acquiring an atmospheric accelerator from an Imperial Wind Harvester is crucial. Kay volunteers to steal it, and Selo equips her with Magnetic Disruptors to halt the turbine temporarily, enabling her entrance into the facility. Along with completing these tasks, Kay recalls a recent intel about a crashed speeder which could provide useful parts for her mission. This action concludes the Intel: The Speeder Mechanic Quest and initiates the Main Quest: The Mechanic. Determined to succeed, Kay sets off for the Imperial Wind Harvester under the cover of darkness, relying on Selo’s Magnetic Disruptors to infiltrate the heavily guarded facility. Along the way, she plans to salvage the crashed speeder parts, hoping they might give her an edge in the mission and prove instrumental in impressing Gorak in Star Wars, whose trust she believes could open new opportunities for her crew. With the stakes growing higher, Kay braces herself for the dangers ahead, knowing that every step brings her closer to not only enhancing her speeder but also securing a reputation in the galaxy.
