You can avoid the rats by strategically climbing and sticking to higher platforms.
Within the corridor, you’ll come across a chest containing a Tungsten Ingot. Centered in the basement is a ramp leading up to a destructible wall. Locate an Oil Jar, which you would have passed on your way in, and use it to break through the wall. Beyond this passage, you’ll soon find another wall requiring the same treatment, with an additional Oil Jar nearby. Once both walls are destroyed, you’ll claim the Book of Knowledge housing the Plague of Rats ability.
Lisieux
Contains: Paladin Hood
Positioned to the west of Evresin, Lisieux hides a chest containing the Paladin Hood gear in its crypt. You’ll need two keys to access everything. First, head to the tower in the church. Climb the ladder, shoot down the other ladder, and shift the movable shelf to reveal the first key, which lies on a desk.
For the second key, find a monk located in the southern area of Lisieux. You can use stealth to approach him and pickpocket the key. Use these keys to open the crypt next to the church. Once inside, proceed to the room with a flag; the locked door behind it hides the chest containing the Paladin Hood.

The Brown Trout can be acquired by fishing in the waters near the altar itself. Use your scanner to locate large, solitary fish in the area. The required Seal Tails can be obtained along the coastline where the La Claire Cairn is based or near boats docked in the same region. Once all offerings are acquired, return to the altar and present them to conclude this mystery.

Use furniture and elevated platforms to keep yourself safe from their bites.
While navigating the basement, you will see a ramp leading to a destructible wall. However, there is no need to destroy this wall to obtain the key for the Lutetia Bureau. Facing the destructible wall, take note of a table nearby and search the corridor just behind it. The key can be accessed by climbing around the area strategically to reach it. Collect the key to progress further in the quest of uncovering secrets within the Gisacum Ruins.
