Crimson Desert: Young Monk’s Request Quest Walkthrough

Starting the Quest

The Quest starts with a young monk asking you for help at the Coalvale Workshop east of Unicorn Cliff. You will come across the monk while looking for Grimzle in the Grimzle, the Ledge Manager Quest.

When you talk to him, he will tell you the story about a precious mushroom he’s looking for.

This is a Demeniss Faction Quest -> Demeniss Commissions

Obtain the Mystical Pine Mushroom

The location of the Mystical Pine Mushroom is marked on the map after talking to the Young Monk. Follow the road south through the area with the floating pots. This is the Pororin Forest Guardians’ turf, and when you get too close to the village, they will capture you and take you to a remote camp.

To make your life easier, I would recommend completing the Pororin Forest Guardians -> Trembling Woods Quest line first, starting with The Unreachable Village. After completing this questline, the Pororin Forest Guardians will be your allies, and the area is freely accessible.

With the Pororin Forest Guardians being friendly now, the Mystical Pine Mushroom can be found easily. They are inside a cave at the marked location.

Before entering, notice that your lantern is glowing, indicating a memory at this location.

If you don’t remember how to discover and look at memories, consult the guides section in the game menu. Use “Blinding Flash” by the desk – It’s Guide #110: Blinding Flash – Concentrate Light. Then, read the memory -> Guide #314: Memory Fragments. The memory Hernand -> Natural Disasters -> Pororin Cave is right at the cave entrance.

Enter the cave and shoot the sleeping gas mushrooms with arrows. I couldn’t destroy the mushroom at the far end. Just let it fall asleep, wake up, and pick up the Mystical Pine Mushrooms on the floor next to the gas mushroom. This will complete the Young Monk’s Request and the Demeniss Commissions -> Mushrooms Growing Among Poison quest line.
