The Void is the final questline of Chapter 12: The Abyss in Crimson Desert, following The Final Battle. With Caliburn having fled into the Abyss, you must climb the Spire of Clockwork and navigate five interconnected Abyss locations – Riddle Square, Origin of Thoughts, Forgotten Altar, Disconnected Truth, and Ether Fragment – each with its own puzzle to restore before a Skybridge opens to the next. At the end, the trail leads to Caliburn and the final confrontation with Umbra. This guide covers all puzzles, Skybridge activations, and tips for the final boss fight.

#1 – A Shadow in the Void
The Void is the last questline of Chapter 12: The Abyss. It consists of two quests, starting with A Shadow in the Void.
Description
“Caliburn vanished along with the Abyss gate created by Grundir. Go to the Abyss and go after Caliburn, who must be somewhere within.”
Head to the Abyss
How to Reach the top of the Spire of Clockwork
Open your inventory. You should have the item Spire of Clockwork Key from when you fought Bastier in Traitor. Travel to the Spire of Clockwork east of Demeniss’ Golden Plains. Insert the Spire of Clockwork Key at the Main Gate.
Enter the room with the brightly lit machine and pull the handle to start up the gears.
Now you have to climb to the next level. You can only climb where the pipes are.
Reach the next machine. You will notice that it is brightly lit again, as if an invisible force is guiding you with light. Pull the lever to activate the next set of gears.
Notice that some of the vertical pipes have handlebars to climb up on. Use them to climb up to the next platform.
Keep climbing until you reach the top, where you can exit to the outside and wait for the opening of a turning gear.
There is an elevator that will take you to the top. Just press the button. Enter the building at the top for the Abyss Gate to appear.
How to Restore the Riddle Square Abyss
There are two turbines in the center of Riddle Square, but they are not working. There is a yellow, round button. Use Axiom Force on it to activate the turbines.
The turbines remain active only for a limited time. Go to the main round turbine, jump, and fly to start. Follow the big rings to the big power core. Hang onto it and use Force Palm to restore the Riddle Square Abyss. You can now use the Wind Element Skill. Don’t forget to pick up the Abyss Artifact by the spikey statue to complete the location.
Riddle Square has only one Skybridge, leading to Origin of Thoughts. As with all Skybridges, use Axiom Force on the small pillar that appears when going through the pyramid-shaped gate. Then follow the path to the transporter.
How to Restore the Origin of Thoughts Abyss
As the location states (see description), you have to reach the highest point by using the turbines provided and climbing.
You will notice that some turbines on the middle floor are not working. Look for a blue power stick on this level.
Use Axiom Force to transport the blue power stick to the turbines, then place it in a gap between the circuits. Once placed, use Jump-Force Palm to lock it in and start the turbines.
You can now fly to the top riddle. Notice that there are three power squares that need power. Look for where the blue circuits converge and go down a small shaft. There is a yellow switch. Use Axiom Force on this switch to get a birds-eye view of the big center, round puzzle. The three blue dots in the top-left of the screenshot have to be on the same line as the yellow dots.
You can now fall through the center of the big circle to reach the ground floor again. Then use Jump-Force-Palm on the yellow glowing circle to solve the Origin of Thoughts Abyss. Don’t forget to pick up the Abyss Artifact!
Origin of Thoughts has only one Skybridge, leading to the Forgotten Altar. As with all Skybridges, use Axiom Force on the small pillar that appears when going through the pyramid-shaped gate. Then use the transporter and follow the path towards the north.
How to Restore the Forgotten Altar Abyss
The Forgotten Altar has a desert theme with a dark, vertical tornado-like storm in its center. Around the storm pit are four square power units partially surrounded by thorns. There is one on each corner. A bit further outside are vertical ventilators that can take you to the top when power is active. Don’t get too close to the storm, or you will be pulled in.
First of all, look for a ball near the thorns. It belongs in a socket near a square power unit. This unit already has a second, socketed ball.
This will power up the square units around the storm pit and their ventilators. Take one of the ventilators to the floor above. Land on the center mechanism of the storm. You will spin around on it. Select your wind ability, enter focus, and unleash Nature’s Snare to stop the storm. You can now drop down to the center of the storm.
To get inside the power core on the bottom, hang on the left side of the revolving round side flaps. Enter focus and use the focused force palm on the right side of the flap. Since you are hanging on the left side, you will be taken inside, and you can use jump-force palm to activate the Abyss. Don’t forget the Abyss Artifact.
Forgotten Altar has only one Skybridge, leading to Disconnected Truth. As with all Skybridges, use Axiom Force on the small pillar that appears when going through the pyramid-shaped gate. Follow the path southeast to find the teleporter.
How to Restore the Disconnected Truth Abyss
There is a turbine below the Abyss Nexus. Just drop down and fly to the bottom entrance of the pyramid. There is a bright beam where you have to land. Inside is a broken conduit that you can fix to turn on the power to the center elevator.
Step on the elevator and ride it to the next level. Once arrived, it will open up to a big puzzle with broken parts and conduits.
First, there is a center console with three buttons. One of them shines yellow and can be activated with Axiom Force. The other two need some work.
Follow the center conduit to an underground section. Hint: There is a Treasure Chest.
Keep following the cables. You have to repair three conduits (one underground, one on ground level, and one on the upper level) and place two square power pieces into the empty sockets.
One of the square power sockets is attached to the overhead pyramid. You can fly over and use Axiom Force to bring it down. Place this one into the socket on the top floor, to the left of the console with the three buttons. This will activate the left button.
Now you need to pull out one of the square power pieces from the ground floor. Pull out the one just below the socket you just placed, and take it to the empty socket in the upstairs center.
The square power pieces should now be in the following sockets when standing in front of the three buttons:
-> Upstairs left (from overhead pyramid)
-> Upstairs center (from ground floor left)
-> Groundfloor center (remains)
Activate all three console buttons with Axiom Force, then Force Palm the round Power Plate. This will open up the sky, and you can retrieve the Abyss Artifact from the top of the overhead pyramid.
Now you can activate the Disconnected Truth Skybridge. Go through the pyramid gate and use Axiom Force to activate the bridge.
Follow the path to the right to find the transporter. On the first island, enter the memory stage to use the moving platforms that only exist in memory. You have to be quick. The memory only lasts for a short while.
If you fall and need to start up the memory again, choose the Visione to put it on, then select it again to choose a memory to play. The memory you need is at the Abyss Tab: Memories of the Disconnected Truth.
The teleporter will take you to a location called “Denn River“.
Right from the start, you can move a square power piece to a socket. First, find the power bar in the water area that powers the blue force field. Use Axiom Force to pull it out of the socket. Then, you can move the power square into the socket and lock it in with jump-Force Push.
Now you can climb up to the top and solve the tile puzzle. Make sure the power flows to all power nodes. You will then fly up to the Ether Fragment Abyss.
How to Restore the Ether Fragment Abyss
This is an easy one. The big, round power plate only needs a jump-Force Palm to activate the Ether Fragment Abyss.
Ether Fragment has only one Skybridge. As with the others, use Axiom Force on the appearing pillar for the Skybridge to activate. There is an Abyss Gate at the other end leading to Caliburn’s location.
Persue Caliburn
Finally, we’ve arrived at Caliburn’s location, and the boss fight awaits.
You will arrive at the Dimensional Bonds Abyss. Crossing over seems impossible, but it is doable if you double jump and fly across.
Look for small ledges to recover your stamina and climb to the top. There is a power plate here that only requires a Force Palm to provide power to the area. Then you can cross over to the big gate at the center. As soon as you’re close enough, an Abyss Gate opens, and you can follow Caliburn inside and finally defeat him.

#2 – Blinding Darkness
Description
“Whether it was Caliburn or Myurdin, the being controlling them vanished. Follow the trail of uncertainty and venture into the very depths of the Abyss.”
Chase the Unknown
After defeating Caliburn, enter the next Abyss Gate. First, you have to fight Myurdin, then Umbra. Blackstar will join you when fighting Umbra. Dodge Umbra’s attack while riding the dragon. Use Fireball, aiming at the center – Umbra’s eye. As soon as the yellow bar under the health bar is full, Umbra is weak. Fly to the eye and use Force Palm to complete the questline.
