Chapter 2: The End of Greed Overview

This is the second quest of five in “The End of Greed” story block in Chapter 2.

Completing these five quests will lead to the start of Chapter 3.

Starting the Quest

The quest starts automatically after “The Dark Veil”. After talking to Shakatu at the Goldleaf Trading Post, a nun is calling out for help…

Quest Description:
“A nun is calling for help in the middle of the road. See what’s going on.”

Speak with the Nun Asking for Help

The nun is also at the Goldleaf Trading Post, but on the other side. There are two men talking to her. Head over there and talk to her.

Go to the Healer’s House

Next, you have to save the healer from the bandits. The Healer’s House is past Specter’s Hideout, the cave you had to investigate in the Quest “Secrets Hidden in the Dark”.

You will know that you are at the right place when people are fleeing towards you, with the houses burning in the background. Talk to the people in front of the healer’s house.

A log is blocking the house’s entrance. Use “Nature’s Grasp”, an ability in the green area of the skill tree, to remove the log. Throw it aside and enter the house. Marten, the person who needs rescuing, is in the corner of the house. Just walk through the fire, pick him up, and carry him outside.

Rescue the Kidnapped Healer

The survivors will tell you that bandits have kidnapped Hubert, the healer. You now have to find and rescue Hubert.

Follow the road to the east and head south at the fork towards the Hernand Highlands. I went through an area with hovering vases, which was a weird experience. If you do the same, be aware that there are aggressive hogs there, too.

Deal with the bandits and free the healer. This will complete the quest. Next is the quest “Rebellion or Revolution”.
