Chapter 3: The Face Behind the Mask Overview

This is the fourth quest of five in the “The Face Behind the Mask” story block in Chapter 3.

Completing these five quests will lead to the third story block in Chapter 3: “Pioneering”.

Starting the Quest

“Seed of Unease” is the fourth quest of the story block “The Face Behind the Mask” in Chapter 3. It starts right after finding Naira and Andrew in “Nonhuman”.

Quest Description:
“If the Reed Devil escapes, it would put your Greymane comrades at grave risk. Hunt him down.”

Track the Devil of the Reed Field

As in “Nonhuman”, track the Reed Devil with your lantern. Before you start tracking, take your time to activate the nearby fast travel platform. Could be useful in the future.

Then, start tracking the Reed Devil. Follow the road to the southeast. On the way, destroy the turning pillars. Doing so will prevent attackers from appearing. They can also be destroyed by arrows.

The road leads to the Mountain of Frozen Souls Hearth. There is another fast travel platform before you arrive there.

You will arrive at the Mountain of Frozen Souls Hearth, a location with an altar.

Examine the Altar

Interact with the altar at the Mountain of Frozen Souls Hearth. Examine the doll. You can see it when focusing with the lantern. This will complete the quest, and the last quest of the story block “The Face Behind the Mask” starts: Dance with the Devil.
