Crimson Desert: Close Threat Quest Walkthrough

Starting the Quest

After investigating the five suspects for Troubled Shakatu, it is now time to identify the traitor.

Quest Description:
“You’ve heard all the stories from the Goldleaf Merchant Guild. Now, it’s time to deduce who the traitor is.”

Talk to Shakatu

Return to Shakatu at the Goldleaf Merchant Guild. He’s at his tent.

Discuss the Case

First, tell Shakatu about Blique’s Testimony. It’s the only selectable option. Press “Select” when he asks what Blique had to say, and you can offer him the Old Saddle, Horse Hire Ledger, and the Feed Purchase Receipt. Choose the Horse Hire Ledger.

You now have the option to select Skrav’s Testimony. From the three options, Lantern on the Ground, Trade Schedule Log, and Stacked Trade Goods, select the Trade Schedule Log.

Next, you have the option to select Nogle’s Testimony. From the three options, Tavern Ledger, Broken Barrel, and Tax Notice, select the Tavern Ledger.

Continue with Grimzle’s Testimony. From the three options, Merchant Delivery Seal, Empty Ledger Cover, and Proof of Stay, select the Proof of Stay.

Now you can finish with Kathan’s Testimony. From the three options, Guard’s Letter, Damaged Wagon, and Guard’s Report, select the Guard’s Report.

Hunt Down The Traitor

Close the investigation to now hunt down the Traitor. It was Grimzle all along. Return to the Coalvale Workshop. He’s behind the house.

Tie him up and carry him to Shakatu. This will complete the quest.
