Chapter 2: The End of Greed Overview

This is the last quest of five in “The End of Greed” story block in Chapter 2.

1 – The Dark Veil
2 – The Flames of Greed
3 – Kidnapped Healer
4 – Rebellion or Revolution
5 – Cheers Echoing From the Edge

Completing these five quests will lead to the start of Chapter 3.

Starting the Quest

The quest starts automatically after “Rebellion or Revolution”. Shakatu wants Kliff to defeat Hornsplitter so he can take over the Goldleaf Trade Guild.

Quest Description:
“Find and defeat the Hornsplitter to resolve the matter.”

Defeat Hornsplitter

Hornsplitter’s camp is just east of Shakatu’s. You will have to pass through the Hornsplitter guards to reach him. Hornsplitter looks a bit like Joffrey Baratheon from Game of Thrones… Defeating Hornsplitter will make Shakatu the guild leader, and Chapter 3 of the story starts.

How to Defeat Hornsplitter

Hornsplitter uses slow but powerful melee attacks with wide swings that can hit you if you stay too close for too long.

Dodge to the side when he attacks, then move in and land a few hits while he recovers. He usually leaves a short opening after each attack combo. Don’t overcommit. Back off after a couple of hits so you still have enough stamina to dodge his next attack.

Repeat this pattern – dodge, attack, retreat – until the fight is over.
