A Rumor in the Calphade Gate is a Greymane quest in Crimson Desert, unlocked after completing A Rumor at the Inksworth Bindery. Word has spread that Greymanes have been spotted at the Calphade Gate, northwest of Hernand Town. This guide covers where to find the key NPC at the gate and where the quest leads you next.
The area also connects to the Hunter’s Cabin Ruins puzzle and Hidden Treasure Map Piece 10, making it worth a thorough sweep while you’re there.

Starting the Quest
Complete A Rumor at the Inksworth Bindery to find Oliver together with Eric and Connor. Then, Marius will tell you about two more Rumors. A Rumor in Arboria Craftshop and A Rumor in the Calphade Gate.

“Word is that Greymanes have been spotted at the Calphade gate.”
Look into the Rumor
Calphade Gate is northwest of Hernand Town, just past Haunted Hill and Ivy Nook. While in the area, you can also solve the puzzle of the Hunter’s Cabin Ruins and find the Hidden Treasure Map Piece 10 in the same graveyard.
At Celphade Gate, talk to the Stranger by the road to learn more about the Greymanes. He will tell you that Pailunese people are looking for Greymanes as well.

The rumored Pailunese are at Hunter’s Cabin, where I just came from to solve the Ancient Ruins puzzle. The Pailunese are, in fact, Greymanes: Lars, Joseph, Gerald, and Vernon.
